Sounds like ****, sorry to say.

But, I'm older (36) and wasn't looking for a fart can sound...liked the stock exhaust with M62 so much better.

NOW, could be tuning issues...HPTuners came with my ZZP order so I'm starting to log and learn and have yet another ZZP order on the way (LS4 TB, 60# injectors, Stage2 pulley (3.1") and AEM WB) so I'm hoping in time to improve performance and sound quality as well.
We've got a new resonator about to become available. I'd be happy to discuss it with you. Maybe you could do a before after video?

If it quiets things down Zooomer I'd likely buy it. Idle is fine, WOT sounds ok (alright, better than ok going by the vid I just posted )....just that middle ground of daily driving that is too loud for what little is happening between speed and RPM.

Mark it doesnt sound that bad, definately a performance gain there. The only thing you could do to quiet it down is to change out the muffler for a dynomax super turbo muffler.

A new resonator could quiet it down over the one that came on the catback. In the eclipse world a v6 with headers and a catback is one of the raspiest cars ive ever heard. But on those a hushpower resonator takes away almost all the rasp and makes them almost sound like a nissna vq35.

with a resonator

ah the power of a resonator

Should be able to. The exhaust room on the eclipse is similar to the cobalts.

Stay far away from 3" then, 2.5 is plenty for NA.

The ZZP Header bolt-in option connects to most 2.5 cat-back setups, you'll be pleased with their header, very sexy unit.

Yes. 2.5!!! if u are a 2.4 then ur stock exhaust is good man just change the muffler. Honestly I regret this stupid ricey sound! its not the 3 exhaust but the muffler. So just go with a different muffler.

Hey ottawa when u gonna get that new muffler? Cause Idk if I can get a universal muffler or if it has to be a certain size... let me know man im embarrased to even drive the car haha.

Alright I figured this out... yesterday I got my car back and tuned and ready to go! So I actually got to gun it. alright so this is whats up.... the zzp sounds great a low rpms and when u go WOT but from 3-4K rpms that ricey sound makes its way out... but its really noticeable when u are trying to speed up when u get into that rpm range... its sounds bad but at wot ur good and low rpms... What I do to avoid that high pitch ricey noise is to gradually go up in speed.... later I will get some vids of the car and its very loud... I dont mind that one bit. so overall it isnt as bad also it sounds worse in the car then outside. ottawa have someone else drive it and have them go WOT u might change ur mind... like I said it sound like a fart can btw those rpms then u cant notice... well I cant

Honestly I think either zzps new resonator or one like the hush power will help calm that sound.

Well typically larger exhausts sound a bit deeper. But will look forward to some videos. Problem for me is the slp isnt a resonated exhaust. So it could be very loud and raspy. Guess we will see come end of may.

So unless some one can post a link for a 2.5" header/DP combo than I have to firsr make a decision between

2.5"
http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...1198&catid=155

or 3"
http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...1199&catid=155

after that what header should i use???

I AM NOT GOING TURBO OR SUPERCHARGED
