zzp mid-length header aftermath less than 20hrs after install

i was driving in the underground parking lot at yorkdale mall and all of a sudden the bolts that connect the dp to the header broke and i was setting off alarms at idle; so went out and bought stronger bolts but the gasket i bought for it wasn't the right size but it should be good enough until i get iget a replacement gasket; my question is, has anyone had the problem; and how long did it it take zzp to ship u another gasket?

are you talking about a gasket problem or a bolt problem?

if bolt problem, it has been addressed many many times before

in regards to the gasket, you should be able to get a replacement from your dealership

I had the same exact thing happen, i ended up buying another gasket through them and getting it over nighted (took a little longer then I thought it would w/ overnight) If you talk with them might be able to work something out. you never know.

thx

mine didn't sound that raspy but if it wasn't for the w/e law it is about the noise level i would have just left it i loved the looks i got espscially since no one expects it from a stock looking white 2.4

i have to call zzp tomorrow since they're closed

My ZZP dp/header came with grade 9 bolts and they still broke... i'd recommend bigger bolts and locking washers... cost me about 6 bucks at the hardware store...

thx.

For your 2.4L what exhaust piping (inches) do you have and what about for your header and downpipe? I have been interested in the zzp combo for some time now but I am afraid of all the problems that come with them.
