As for the red T10 bulbs you got; which ones? 5-SMD (5050) or the 4-SMD (1210)?
Red really isn't a "bright" illuminating color in the first place. I decked out a Charger in all red and it was bright when you looked at the LEDs but everything else was this red/black. Think old school Nintendo Virtual Boy. I'll look into seeing if we can get a smaller LED panel that fits into the rear view mirror's since that's really the only good setup if you want red. If it was me, I'd probably run a few red LED strips along with it underneath the dash and the seats.
Yes, the 3BSpec switchbacks are $33.99/pair. The Vision Tech switchbacks are $26.99/pair. I think there's 5 pairs left on the 3BSpec and 9 pairs left on the Vision Tech's.

The switchbacks just alternate colors when the turn signals are on.

When choose the light bulbs, you need to pay attention to lumens, which is the amount of light that comes through a hole of a certain size from a meter away over a period of time (something like that). Another thing to look at is viewing angle. Those have 180 angle. Since the bulbs are so close to the gauges, if the angle is narrow, it will light up a small part of the panel directly in front if it, and not spread the light out evenly. Normal incandescent bulbs produce light evenly from all angles, LEDs do not. I would still try to go for the SMD type of LEDs. These are the ones that have multiple LEDs on one board. They put out the light more evenly as the LEDs are pointing in different directions. 1W is a big power draw for an LED. like this 1W 194 light bulb, it only contains 1 pcs high power LED, but is bright enough for my maplights and step/courtesy lights
