funny story. I got stuck at a speedway..2 hours awat from home Because of the same thing. Phone was dead too.. Good thing I seen a walmart down the road, I had to call the girlfriend to lead me home. The next day at work I looked at it and the fuse was melted and the ground fell off the frame. Prolly why my lights were flickering so offten, I also got the same smell and didn't lnow where the hell it was coming from.

quality **** isn't it.

the harness is not the problem. it's the ballasts.

My ddm kit did this shortly after I installed them. Put a new fuse in it and it hasn't done it since, but it did melt the **** out of that fuse holder.

that's what I did.. And I had to cut the ground and make a new one, seems to be good as of now

Dual 10 guage power and grounds. 2 relays on the harness couldnt keep it from burning up.

Looks like ill be taking them off real soon then.. ill see if i see any change in the fuse holder if so ill go back to stock : \

kinda need help on this now. I put a new fuse in few days ago.. Seem to be working fine till I got to work, my dash lights come on but the lights to my boost and rpm and mph lights do not when the car is on.. As soon as I turn the car off they come on. Anyone have a damn clue what's going on?
