My 06 Cobalt SS/SC ScratRod......

Over the course of ownership, have taken a couple directions with it. Seems to be heading in the ratrod direction now with some racing touches.

Car is a 06 SS/SC. Has the following mods.

ZZP S2 H/E - K&N - 2.8 - 60's - Trifecta - ZZP Midlength Combo - Eibach Sportlines - G6 Steelies - BWoody Solid Mounts - ZZP Midlength Combo- Etc...

Intake (3 Inch) for the car is on the way btw. Right now a stocker with a K&N Drop In will do. Also plan on a side exit 2.5 setup or maybe a 2.25....depends on the loot situation.

Car has run a 13.8 @ 105 before weight reduction and through the stock airbox and a 2.25 exhaust.....has more in it I hope. Looks like a LS kinda....fun to mess with people.

Shot of the front sans bumper which is getting resprayed (wife backed into it), ZZP S2 painted OD green with see through lines.....

GT3RS door pulls....lol

The office........Hurst STS with reverse lock out bullshit removed....wrinkle blacked....car is driven like this and is not as loud as you think.....carpet will go back in once the dry ice takes care of the sound deadening.

Ass shot....LS rear bumper with ghetto tow hook

Stance?

G6 Steelies.....soon to be OD green.

Antenna delete....cause I got not muzik.

I am building a boy racer special....lol. No plans really. Just trying to be different......still have to remove the trunk lid speakers and some more stuff. Want to run 12.9s with a baby seat in the back...

Thanks!

To all posters, pleases remember this is a WIP. Have some plans for it soon...and like I said its not going the direction most cars here go (not saying thats a bad thing either). I wont be going for 25th gen halo projectors....xxp built 6999 hp lsj turbo converted.....hella flush stance works nation molybendiumhydrideexlax coil over with time attack beam.....just tweaking what I got and working towards a goal. Say what you want to....Im a big boy

My 3400lb wagon churns the same times with minimal mods.

Dare I mention my 2.9/42lb SS/SC did too?

So excuse to ruin your car again?

I see what you're doing there...

I don't know if I can give you a thumbs up - but I understand it.

are the SS/SC seats actually heavier than the base seats?

why the door handle change - did you break your stockers, and you wanted a cheap fix?

I'm all for sleepers ~ but I really like the SS front & rear bumpers - with the lips... and you could reinstall them while sneakily shedding some weight (but I'd strongly advise against lightening of the structural bumper)...
I know that generally the carpets use heavy underlay which can be turfed... and there are many other little bits that can be quietly turfed to shed weight;
just remeber to try to keep more of hte weight up front since you need it up front to maintain the best traction possible...

I really like the G6 steelies... they're like the 'anit-Cobalt SS' wheel setup.

You want one? Lol. Just messing with ya.

No need to tell me what your running and with how few mods though. We are all different and truth be told I will shave quite a bit off her to boot. That best time was not my first time at the strip sir.....but it was the second pass I ever ran in this car.

You seem to have misunderstood what a work in progress is, the times will get better. 105 mph is a low 13 if I can get better at launching.

All in good fun. If your faster, then good for you.

I havent ruined my car in my eyes....yet. The car has a SS front bumper (which as I have pointed out several times is getting resprayed), and the wheels are temporary.

Thanks for your opinion

Yep. Cloth is way lighter IMO. No hard numbers to prove it. Grip better IMO...

The handles were just me messing around.....I have the stockers and can reassemble them anytime.

Yeah.....more to come. My goal is at least till I get another in dash dvd player and plug that hole in the dash is for all the weight savings to be next to invisible.

Thanks for your input!

Fab'ed a block off plate, covered with 3M Dinoc....also redid the trim in flat black.

Painted wheels....better tires.

Bumpers back on......have to reinstall fog lights ( or use the ducts for something else...brake cooling maybe? ) Also picked up a VIS carbon fiber hood for 200.00 local.....cant see but the intake is now a AEM from a member on the forums here.

Updates coming....hate on!
