do you have your stock endplate? i would be interested in purchasing it that way i can make my own endplate and not have to worry about getting my car apart, doing it, then puting it back together.

^Yes I do still have my stock endplate. I talked to someone about it a week or two ago, and he kinda made an offer, but nothing is set in stone, so PM me an offer if you want it. I'm working alot this week, but I'll try to check my PM's every night.

P.S. This set-up kicks ass, I still can't get over how fast the temps drop once you get going after letting her soak for a while.

Today in near it was 90, high humidity and I was crusing around at ~104 (it had probably cooled down to like 84ish by this time though), my temp gage said 90 though still

After a hard run it was up to like 142, and it dropped back to ~114 after about 10 minutes of driving home.

I'm happy

Yeah I would like to know as well so I know if I should look into this or not. If you could let us know how much each part is so we can get a good idea. Thanks a lot I would really appreciate it.

Right around $400 installed for everything.

I got the end plate from Crateenginedepot.com for like $220
And the rest of the surge tank stuff was like another 80
And I got the Cobra HE and brackets for a little over a hundred.
And a few bucks here and there for hose and clamps

I don't think there is any hard proof proving one better than the other. Both will do the trick and the Cobra one is the best bang for the buck if you are willing to do some minor fab work.

It's hard to say, I personally don't feel the CA piece is worth the price, and from the pics I've seen, I'm not over impressed.

But it is probably a little easier to install, if it bolts in like they say it does.

I have a few CA pieces on my ride, and I have mixed opinions on them. But just remember, they are the people who brought us the Front Mount CAI

precisely,

If anyone with the CA wants to post some numbers maybe we can get an idea, but from all of what I've seen, temp reductions are comparable, prices, not so much

Sorry, didn't read all posts so IDK if someone asked already. What is the difference in the "updated" intake manifold gasket from the original? Thanks in advance.

Sadly, I don't really know, anyone??, lol, I did compare the two, and it looks like the new one has slightly improved embossing around the ports, maybe it'll be less prone to leaking? I know it's the updated P/N, and others recommended it, I just figured for the extra $10 or so, why not. I don't intend to ever take that whole assy off again, so might as well do it while I'm in there anyways, ya know?

no prob bro, I would have done a how-to write-up on the install, but blown-4banger did a pretty good one already.

Feel free to ask any Q's though, Thorough planning is the difference between this being a Sunday project or a week long fiasco, lol

All said and told I probably had about $500 in to it.

I got the Cobra HE and brackets cheap from another member, and almost everything else, (except some hose and clamps from the local auto store) came from CrateEngine Depot.com

They had the dual pass on sale for like $220 when I bought mine.

I also have a stock endplate for sale if anyone wants to try and make their own like others have.
