For the record the le5 head is more than capable to flowing the same as a lsj. I have both heads sitting in my garage and the ports looks the same on both heads.

I figured it would be sick to have vvt on a lsj.

Im down to run both of u i got a 1970 camaro RS. Lol
It will run 8.50 sec all day long...lol.

Just throwing it out there. Anything is possible. You just need to take some time and be really good with electrical and wiring. It really wouldn't be to expensive. I can't speak about tranny mating cause I'm not sure. Everyone will tell you that you need the harnessess for the whole car which is true if you just want a plug and play. If not be prepped to rewire an entire ECM. From experience it's not what I'd call fun. Any of our engines can make a lot of power you just need some money and a lot of patience. I'm sure I'd easily break over 300 if I slapped cams in mine. Then again idk where I sit now. I know I pull on tuned tc's right now. And not to knock the lsj I think it's a great engine. But with the le5 and l61 you have 2 advantages more displacement and higher compression. Having 10 to 1 I have all my power still downlow

You can't trust everything ZZP says. They are company out to make money. And the reason why the ecotec engine platform is so slow to develop is because of augments like in this thread.

I don't have an LE5 head to compare so I can't comment on what you see but at the end of the day a LSJ head will flow more once you add those stage 3 cams if you felt you needed to. I still don't see the point of a LE5 in a LSJ when one can easily add a turbo to their stock LSJ and take it beyond what an LE5 can handle anyway. Why go through all of that work just to say you have VVT?

Bullshitter! I did some digging. You don't even know what valve springs to use on your Z but it's somehow going to spank my C6 with 7lbs of boost and otherwise stock motor? Dude that car has potential but you don't even know how to get it there and apparently it isn't even ready. I'll run you in the SRT, no need to bring the big guns to the show.

What valve springs should I run??? - LS1TECH

For any serious power you're gonna need a turbo and a block that can take it. The LE5 block is weak.

My buddy is doing the opposite. He's using a LSJ block in a LE5 Sky but keeping the LE5 head and going turbo. I'm not sure why he's doing the whole LSJ/LE5 hybrid thing since the LSJ head has more potential. I'd be willing to bet that when everything is said and done, he put's the LSJ head back on and makes more power.

The LSJ is on there..
2.4 ecotec is on there too lol
