What methanol nozzle size?
I am shooting for 340whp with a TVS w/ 2.7, 80lbers, and meth. what size nozzle would suit me best? i bought a trunk mount system from AIS, and they sent me a 10gph nozzle. the nozzle says AI10 on it.

AIS is claiming that a 14gph nozzle is best for our style superchargers and that they require twice the jetting of a turbo. Here is a link that they sent me of them proving this on an Acura RSX forum. read from page 38 til the end.

Hi Harry,
One thing you have to consider is most guys simply aren't making as much power as you. You listed yourself as 340 WHP and running 25 psi with your harrop. The common Cobalt is running the stock Eaton at 17-18 psi making only 270-280 at the tires. If you had this I would set you up with a 7 GPH nozzle to run a 50/50 mix. Hope this helps explain things better.

The key to meth injection is the proper size nozzle. Not just shoving a large nozzle in everything.
Nice nozzzles AIS Where you get them from ? Or better yet who supplier did go behind there back and then by them through "looks other way"

well when i'm no where near close to 25* of timing and still pushing 273 out of an eaton without the need to spend money on gauges cause i have no need to look at my iat's or other parameters because i know everything is working fine....10gph does the job.

Take it to PM
If you feel the need to contribute, why not provide some facts to back up your statement, instead of vendor bashing.
The AI10 seems ideal for the amount of air you plan on pushing, though running dual 7gphs will simply provide more meth and water. Do you want bare minimum or the reassurance that your always getting enough water/meth to safely push your motor at those levels.

Your going to have to pull way to much fuel out to make a 10gph nozzle work right. These motors are to small for that amount of injection. I feel you would run better if you put in a smaller nozzle. The goal to water methanol inject is to spray enough to cool your intake air temps down. Not to inject so much that you risk damaging you motor.

Figured I'd share... Was out maf tuning... 12* of spark is boring
m62 on a 2.6
stock exhaust manifold
3" high flow dp
2.5" custom magnaflow catback
k&n CAI
ported supercharger & intake mani
Dual 7gph 50/50 mixture - pre blower & into the intake manifold. (150 psi pump, AIS trunk mount kit)
Boosting 229 kpa(18.5 psi) @ 7000
No flooding here... Pull started @ 3000 rpm
-=DISCLAIMER=- What your seeing is not real -=DISCLAIMER=-
