if you wanna open up your headlights just for brighter halos then go for it. you can simply swap out the halos and rewire them.

im assuming i will have to break the sealant up again to get the housing apart? what about the halos? do they just snap on snap off? im sure theres a sealant to them as well.

if wanna take em apart go for. but its not easy your first time. and more than likely they will leak and get fogged up. as for the ccfl rings. i think you have to glue them to where the led ones went. not completely sure tho

With help from HAza.......You will end up with this:

those are sweet

....the leds get wired in the wiring harness...which means i would have to splice the harness and connect the leds to it?

there's a hex bolt similar to the ones for the headlights. you can get to it from outside the bumper. its just above the fog lights. speaking of which, i was thinknig of doing halos on my fogs, not sure what size halo's, im assuming the smallest i can get(60mm) and if they would work with the stock projectors....

I got the 80mm halos for the fogs and didnt have any issues with them not fitting. In the middle of the install now. Superbrightleds have them with diffuser rings.

You could yes, provided you got the right size, and made sure you got waterproof ones, there's no reason you couldn't. I'm surprised this didn't catch on a long time ago.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of selling my Retros for Gen 4's or Gen 3's, what do you guys think?

The reason why I'm considering the change is because I want something a little more showie. I think the double halo's is pretty cool. Not to much of a fan of the 3 dot LEDs though, but like the Halos. Seems Gen 4 doesn't have halos. I'd love to hear your opinion

Dear god please don't. Output is **** on gen projectors compared to retros. Retros look much cleaner, and you can say that they're custom built and not cheap off the shelf junk. If you really want a double halo look put a set of halos around your fogs.

That is pretty cool. Okay I'm convinced. I'll start with switchbacks. I just need to find resistors.

I know those aren't switchbacks, but how hard is it to install them? I'm thinking about getting some soon
