Ask the many others on this site who finally saw the light (pun intended) when it comes to HIDs.
they all start out just like you are right now, figure they know it all, gots it all figured out.
You will see in time.

I usually HATE the word rice, but in all honesty.....HIDs in stock reflectors, or people stupid enough to buy them over 10k for anything other than a show car....
is complete

and as you can see, for all my effort on this site to help people with their HIDs, and projectors...
there is still a great deal of stubborn, selfish, stupidity.

someone has to make fun of the kiddies until they realise how ignorant they are

its what he does. lol. he sits around all day waiting for one person to mention the word "HID" and then he jumps in with a matter of seconds and starts ranting about how "stupid" it is using hids in stock housings.

And then he claims to say he hates the word "rice" but im willing to bet every single HID thread on here that he is in he has called somebody rice.

It is sooo annoying. its like text book behavior from him in every damn HID thread that its actually come to the point of ridiculousness.

and i will keep doing it, because so far, alot of people have actually woken up and learned something from it.
and now say the very same things I do in the same threads.

one day, obviously a good while from now considering your current attitude....you will learn it too. and look back and realise why people bring this up in every HID thread.

what's really annoying is people w/ HID's on cars that aren't meant for, blinding me at night.

Well I COMPLETELY agree with an0molous in that HID's in stock housing are s**t and do nothing but produce a tonne of glare that blinds oncoming drivers. So I guess I am in the same category as him.

Does anyone here even understand why HID's in reflectors isn't a good idea?
It's not just an0malous... there are a lot of us that are tired of being temporarily blinded on the highway....

Anyways... I posted this on a local car forum... it opened the eyes of a lot of people there.
Especially when they saw how cheap a retrofit was.

meh, i could care less about teh glare issue here, i'm focusing on the ****-tastic light out put that such a high Calvin temp is going to have.

living in the city or not, come that first heavy rain, or time your stuck out side of the city lights your going to see (literally) just how bad of an idea this was when you light path is a mighty 10ft in front of the car.

Hey Anom, you wanna see me your head lights? or make me a set? with the mass travel i'm doing with the new program at work i dont have the time to do such a thing, but i'd sure love me a set!

STOP STOP STOP.

it has JACK **** to do with the light being in a reflector housing or not, there are several cars of the past, present, and future that have a reflector housing with a OEM hid.

if you make it a non-complex surface reflector, tuned for the focal length of an HID bulb it can be done vary successfully, however our housing never was designed with such a thing in mind, if it had been, our light output on stock halogens would SUCK!

for example

Did you even read the thread??
Second post in I state that certain cars do have OEM HID's in reflectors... but they are specially designed, unlike halogen reflector housings...

The Lexus IS300 is a Prime Example of a HID reflector housing. It does not use a Projector. It uses a Specially designed Reflector housing that is meant to use HID. This does not create the Super sharp cutoff. But it does control where the light is being Emitted.
