First one.... by a long shot...
Nice even distribution of light, and no hot sport or glare.

Hey Anom, you wanna see me your head lights? or make me a set? with the mass travel i'm doing with the new program at work i dont have the time to do such a thing, but i'd sure love me a set!

STOP STOP STOP.

it has JACK **** to do with the light being in a reflector housing or not, there are several cars of the past, present, and future that have a reflector housing with a OEM hid.

if you make it a non-complex surface reflector, tuned for the focal length of an HID bulb it can be done vary successfully, however our housing never was designed with such a thing in mind, if it had been, our light output on stock halogens would SUCK!

for example

Ill adress this one....because your actually both in agreeance, and both right.

Technically yes there ARE HID friendly reflectors, there are some....but very very few.
the 03 era maximas are a perfect example. but as you stated, they are quite rare, and specifically engineered to handle HID light output.

the reason we keep saying "HIDs in reflectors" is because generally "reflectors" means "halogen reflectors", as very few companys bother with HID reflectors anymore.

As for making them....ive had alot of offers....but in all honesty, its time consuming, and quite tedious, and the money i would want for it is more than its worth lol, i just dont have the patience to do another set.

As for Halogens blinding sometimes too.....yep i agree. theres plenty out there.
lifted trucks is a great example. idiots lift their truck 14 inches, and dont even bother considering the change in headlight angle.....

BUT....heres the kicker genius....at least he has the right equipment, and only needs do a quick aim to fix the issue.
you will NEVER fix the issue with HIDs in halogen housings.
you can pretend your aiming helps.
you can pretend that you have no glare.
you can pretend that people all over telling you its stupid, are all wrong, and just you are right.

Or you can just swallow your pride, realise you were wrong, and learn from your mistake like many others have done.

this is the reality of Correct HID installation, compared to your cheap plug and play kit.

which is exactly why i dont have projectors...cuz no one makes any that work with HID's and a custom kit is more than im willing to invest my time and money into

the light output of my HID's in the stock housings is not as good as it COULD be but theres definately a considerable difference

and ive switched cars with my friend a couple times and it def is brighter with more glare but its not THAT bad if u dont look directly at it...like i said b4 the only times i get flashed is if im coming over a hill...thats basically it...even when i follow my friends and people in my car club to diff meets ive never had a complaint

i know ur right....projectors make a difference...but dont act like a dick about it

screw blinding

projectors should be considered on light output alone...the spread of HIDs in projectors can't be matched

couldnt have said it better myself.

Ive been a dick to people about this since day one. not gonna stop now.
Ask around....see how many people learned the truth about HIDs because of the few of us on here who constantly get on peoples cases about it.....

I will continue to be a dick, because its making a difference, and people are learning not to be cheap ass modders and do things half assed because they are to lazy, or to stupid...to do it properly.

How do the 30Ks look?

Also, reflector houses blind me all the time, even with stock headlights. I think all cars should come with projectors. I literally get blinded by toyota carollas with completely stock headlights. Reflector housings just suck in general. Down with reflectors!

like i said..cant be THAT bad if im not getting flashed constantly...this is NY people dont hesitate to flash other people

i have a paypal account...feel free to donate to it and ill put it towards doing it "right"

being good mechanically has dick to do with understanding how different types of lights operate , pro's, con's, ect

he can turn a wrench, but does he understand focal length?

variable light patterns?
