Enkei M52 Hyper Black

Hey Folks, I have finally decided which rim I am going for. I was looking for Enkei PF01, MSR 045 but too much weight, then Enkei M52 is about the same as stock TC rims but alittle lighter. I am planning getting them this week. $750 for set of 4 and I can't complain. When I take off my stock TC rims and I will sell them. Whoever experience with Enkei M52 how's the ride compare to stock TC rim ?

i love mine on my HHR SS...... as for the ride with them.... unless the wheels are bent or out of balance when a tire is mounted to it, then it won't affect the ride.

what tires are going you with? that'll affect the ride of the vehicle, along with suspension.

yea im pretty sure a wheel is a wheel lol .... the tire is what makes the difference.

the wheel itself is only 1/2" wider mostly a look thing.

Guy here has the m52's on his cobalt. feels no different than stock wheels imo.

However, the hyper black looks terrible imo. Their hyper-black isn't black at all, its more gunmetal/grey. His car is Victory Red, might look better on an SRTC cobalt. He's going to get them PC'd eventually, but for now they are plastidipped. Look 100 times better than Hyper black.

Alright, cause I have 1 bad wheel in the back of my car with a foot long of speed balance. LOL! That's why I say why not get fresh new wheel!

I was going to get them for my HHR but there are a few guys running them in around the forums and I wanted something different so I went with the bronze EV5s...glad I decided on them.

I talked with Crate Engine Depot guy name Tom. I asked how much stock TC rim weight and he checked the weight with GM and himself. He said it's 25lbs! For just bare stock TC rim! I am glad I already got Enkei M52 only 22lbs rims. Here's what Tom said to me in email,

Well....The lighter rim you go is better. Give you better mpg, stopping distance, and less rotating mass.

After I get the rim, I am getting Powell's YYZ springs! I had experienced with CM springs before. They ride close as stock but if you drive across railroad, or bump have to slow down. Cause it will SLAM of you don't slow down. LOL! That's why I rather POWELL'S YYZ! Here I come!

my setup......... hyper black Enkei M52 wheels, 18x8 with 245/40/18 Continental DWS tires and Powell YYZ v1 springs.

disclaimer: driveway is sloped and e-brake in on, so the rear isn't THAT high on level ground.
