Ive seen a few talking of converting to the carbon fiber looking dash trim pieces from the G5 .

A few of the trim parts wont work in a cobalt . You can make them work though .

- Small trim piece that has the 2 info center buttons . 2007's have the info center on the steering wheel controls , so there is no provisions for the 2 05-06 info center buttons . So you would have to fab something for the buttons .

- The center stack bezel is different . On the Cobalt bezel , the center portion( where the heated seat buttons , passenger bag ect is ) between the radio and the hvac controls is apart of the bezel . In the G5's the center portion is attached to the Hvac controls , and the bezel just frames everything . The G5 bezel would still attach to the cobalt dash , the area in between the radio and the hvac's would just have nothing there .

.....solution , swap to the G5 hvac controls as well . IT would bolt right up and hook up the same in a Cobalt . The only thing different is the outer face has the center portion molded into it , the G5 and the Cobalt HVAC's are mechanically identical otherwise .
Thats all . Something I noticed when looking into swapping , figured Id save some headaches .
