i hope not, i think the calipers will be alright also since there outside the car and when your driving there cooling. But i really wanna do something different to my valve cover and that gets damn HOT. Especially on a turbo with the hot charge pipes running across it and everything. I could get it powdercoated but i would like to customize it in a way powdercoating cant do

Valve cover i cant help you there but if your changing the color yea you got to powdercoat it. When i get back from my deployment i am going to change some things up. New RKSport carbon fiber hood and 3 piece wing which i am going to try to find someone to wrap it in carbon fiber. So that means i will need a new carbon fiber trunk as well. Then a clean stereo install after that crazy motor work.

i gotta decide what to do but i think a mostly black engine bay would look real nice and clean with just like ecotec turbo in orange and ****. I hate cheesy looking engine bays, if I could do it and get it to hold up, id like to do a kind of marble/woodgrain valve cover in orange and black. I tink that would look sweet. like mostly black with orange swirls kinda in it. but its just this whole high temperature thing that sucks.
I say do it.

^Really? thats interesting. I might attempt it. I tried googling all of this and i cant find answers anywhere, and i know it must come up all the time. Im not the 1st person who painted there car and wanted to paint the pieces that get hot lol. Your engine bay is really nice too. good job on that

Damn you have done some progress since I've last seen it. Engine bay looks ****. Did you remove that heat liner on the firewall? Also how hard was it to spray everything with the motor still in?

UPDATE:
Im gonna do the same thign to the headlights as my rims and like my old eyelids. Black with an orange pin stripe on the edge of it. I layed the silver base, and candy base, waited like 15 minutes and put pinstripe tape down over the orange, and i was worried it was gonna lift, so i checked it and lifted an edge and what to you know, it lifted. So I sprayed it again and cleared it, and tommorow ill wetsand the edge where the layers are different and then lay the black down and be done with it.
And sprayed the front gill the metallic black: (i cleared it just didnt get a pic of it)
I cant find the damn front bowtie piece to spray, but when i find it ill spray that, and I gota do the front intercooler grill piece, and the rear grills, and thats about it besides the whole car

They actually have ALOT of silver pearl in them. In the sun they look charcoal. Its just my cell phone that makes them look all black. Ill bring my good camera tommorow and snag some pics. I added a little TOO much silver pearl, but then after i sprayed it, i was like GOD DAMNNN i like it.
