its not installed yet so we'll have to see when i put it all in. But i realized i never sprayed any adhesion promoter on it. That was a rookie mistake on my part. That stuff really helps that paint adhere and last on plastic. If it chips im just gonna have to remove it and scuff it up, spray adhesion promoter and hit it again. Id recommend you try that too, even get some rattle can satin clear to spray over the top of it if you need to. That will add some protection to it

easy man...
take a skinny ass flat tip screw driver and if you look at the steering collom cover, there is a little hole on the side take the blade and make it "Parallel to the marching surface " and push it in the hole. Bout a 1/4" you'll feel like a little post. Push it in and you'll see one side of the steering wheel air bag pop off. Do the same for the other side. Then with the air bag partially off, you'll be able to get to the single torx bits that hold those bad boys on. I don't recall the size though. Then just disconnect the wired connections and pop the switches off the bezel. I've done it like 5 times...it get easier everytime

UPDATE:
Well painted the underside of my hood and trunk today. they came out like ass however, especially the underhood. The black is transparent in spots because i didnt have enough black paint. I ran out and didnt get to put a mist coat over it, after spraying with the Sata Minijet and then moving to a full size gun you realize the transfer efficiency SUCKS. You go through so much more paint. And even after blowing it all off real good and tacking it off alot of trash blew out of those nooks and crannies into the clear, so it looks alright as you can see in the pics, but hopefully sometime this summer i can pull it off and re-hit it. Its just upclose you see some imperfections.
Also got all of the undersides of the lip kit scuffed up and sanded good, reinstalled on the car and got them in and able to stick out enough so I can paint them properly. Also scuffed up the door jambs real good and the whole car and im about 99% ready for paint! Its all looking real good and im having trouble finding any gloss at all to hit with 400, so tommorow ill spend the morning washing the car with a scotch bright, blowing it all off, and going over the jambs again scuffing them, then ill spend the late after-noon masking it all up for paint, then wednesday in the booth! Oh and hopefully get those tail-lights and the top of the hood and trunk sprayed tommorow
Oh and got those high-temp brembo decals I ordered, but umm...they said they were for calipers, but there TINY! I need to get new ones, i think im just gonna bring these to a vinyl guy and have him just blow them up to the size I need and print out new ones.
Ill just have to find a spot for those somewhere. Maybe my computer tower or my work boots

I had a set of heat treated vinyls made a while back, but when I finally painted the calipers, I found a cobalt SS specific vinyl on ebay, and it was the stock size so I bought that one and used it. Glad I didn't use the small ones.

^ thanks for posting up that item number! I've been looking for a set of these for a while

I actually bought a set that I had custom made before attempting paint. I was content at first, even though they were slightly smaller, but then I stumbled on these and they are Perfect!

Since my hood roof and trunk are black and I fiberglassed a lip spoiler I figured it would look pretty good
