And I decided im going to be going silver flake instead of gold. So hood roof and trunk will be black with silver flake, and maybe a coat of orange candy layed over it. Rims will be black with silver flake, etc. The rest of the car will be the candy orange over silver, and i may put some flake in that too but i gotta do a spray out to see how much it brightens it up. i dont want it too bright
One dirty ass trunk
Getting there. Tommorow is the bottom. And looking at the pics i realised the right side is thicker on the end then the left side. So now i have to decide if i wanna build up the left side...or shave down the right side?

I think thats what ill do. I think i like it a bit thinner on the sides. But honestly youd be suprised. Thats why this is taking me to long b/c it started thick and i have to keep shaving it. Everytime you shave fiberglass to far you get holes in the fiberglass and soft spots, then you have to dynaglass them to get there strength back and then sand it flat. Its a pain! lol. but Ill get that done tommorow

I know how it goes! I have been restoring a truck, and I am working on the cab corner, where the previous owner just threw in a flat patch panel, beat it a little bit, and filled the rest with bondo. I am in the process of welding it up to bring the metal out so I can use less bondo than the other guy. I spent 6 hours on that alone today.

haha My teacher Sean says that **** all the time. Im not scared of bondo, but you dont wanna use too much of that ****. Id much rather get the metal as close as I can first, as it should be, but i know guys who spend 3 days with a hammer and dolly on a 1/4 panel.

getting rid of the fart can? Its about time, I never did like it from the start. I thought about it couple of times getting one on ebay, but I'm not going to waste my time with the exhaust, except for the downpipe is all i need to be set. I like the body work so far, keep going.

Can some1 take the 2nd pic up, shop the car orange and black, shades of orange arnt that important so dont worry, and just try different thigns with the rims. Black with an orange lip, black with silver lip, all black. etc.

Your classes probobly tought you more about paint specifics with materials and ****, and we did that last semester for a few weeks, but then for the past like 6 months iv just been in the shop pulling, hammering, and painting. Iv had so much hands on I can tell im alot more confidant painting now then i was a few months ago. But if you ask me alot about specific paints and ****, or start throwing brands and **** at me, I have no idea. Ill learn that when I get there.
Edit: just googled Wyotech and that **** is nice. They teach you pretty much everything. Lol. Looks like a great program. Did you get a good job right from there in autobody/automechanics?

One guy brought in some POS and wanted to chop the top and lower the roof on his car, and we said that if he can do it and get it to line up on one of the doner cars then he can do it on his car. Needless to say he fucked the doner car up and never finished it and never came back
