Hardwire Radar Detector?

I know it's been talked about before. But I searched and couldn't find anything to help wit what I am asking. I got a Valentine One and I just purchased the hardwire kit. I also have the rearview mirror mount. I am looking to hardwire it into my sunroof, since it's already up there. What wires turn on with the ignition? And any advice for hardwiring it? Thanks!

Get an add-a-fuse and wire it into the fuse box in the kick panel. Easiest way to tie it in to the factory sunroof power.

I dont want to run wires all the way down there. I would much rather just tap into the switch by the sunroof.

You're seriously better off using the fuse box. There's an ACC power line up there but I can't remember which one it is. Add a fuse > Hacking into your stock harness.

Mehh, I'd much rather just use a wire tap, or whatever the heck its called. But I will run it to the fuse box if I absolutely have too.

You could try the onstar wiring in the mirror.

No Onstar
I figured I could just tap into the wiring right up by the sunroof switch.

So do it. Grab your volt meter and find the 12v power wire that runs to the dome lights. Alternatively find the dome light for sunroofs thread and use the power wire described there.
