HEY WHAT'S UP... I HAVE A REALLY BIG FAVOR TO ASK DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO WIRE UP THE MIDDLE TW BRAKE LIGHTS SO WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES THOSE LIGHT UP AS WELL?? I HATE JUST HAVING 2 REFLECTORS AND I THINKIT WOULD BE COOL TO HAVE THAT DONE TO MY COBALT.

if im not mistaken, the only purpose of those lights if for back up. the reverse lights are the only lights there... there isnt an option of brake lights in the light i think ur talking about

 

i know that they the revirse light but **** the reverse lights... i want the reverse lights to light up when i brake to do you or anyone know how to do that?

 

So you wanna take out the reverse light bulbs and replace them with red ones and make them light up?

 

I think he wants to have the outer ring around the back up light to light up when he brakes, not the actual white reverse light, you know that small ring around the reverse light. Anywayz, to the OP I think some people have done this before, I believe they wired up some LEDS in there, and spliced them into the brake lights. I may be wrong tho.

 

That is INCREDIBLY illegal and INCREDIBLY stupid. Be prepared for COUNTLESS tickets.

I think what your intentions are and what would suit better is a LED kit for the red RING around the reverse lights. A few people have done their own if you search around the site a bit.

That's what I'm thinking/hoping he means.

I've seen Pics of a Cobalt that had a LED ring in the red section of those two light that worked with the brakes. This would seem pretty easy to me.

 

see i knew thats what he was talking about. but me and my buddy are working on a project right now for some custom tail lights. you know the two reflective rings on all 4 tailights? we are gonna make led rings for those and make the normal brake lights night time running lamps and blinkers. So this will take us a min to get it perfect. But i am working on a how to while we do it.

 

This sounds like it will be sweet; i'm looking to do something like that... keep us updated on the project!!

Because, that is illegal, and stupid. And you don't have reverse lights anymore.
