You can also get a hold of Euthanasia on here for a quote, he's the guy that did some of my other polished pieces.

Just wondering if anyone has any quick tips in cleaning up their valve cover. I dont have a buffer and dont really want to take it off. I just wanna get most of the 'rustic' look of it. Mine looks all salty and feels really rough. Anyone recommend any methods, or products that can take that layer off? Or would you recommend I just say screw it and take it off and have it polished?
AND,
Anyone have problems with rust on this red line below. Thanks to Texas SS for being a victim of my photo jacking since im to lazy to walk outside.
That bend on the CAI looks a little restricting?

welll, as faar as the valve cover, my brother and i took one of them green scrubby things for dishes, you ccn pick them up at the dollar store for proally a buck for ten, and then jus scrub on it, we didnt use water, but you can prolly use water or somethin to wipe up the aftermath ...., but it also works on the supercharger to clean up the "pitted" look of it
ya, it s a spot wjhere the molding touches the underhood, ny buddy has some rust accumulating there, and i can see it is a spot for them to rust, mine is missing some of the paint along your straight red line that u drew...
hope i helped a little good luck

May I make a suggestion? Paint the bolts on your coil packs with semi-flat-black engine paint. It hides them and doesn't make them so conspicuous.
Another tip I've seen on a 2.4 is to paint the center (Coil/VVT solenoid area) of the valve cover semi-flat-black -- it blends with the coils so they don't stick-out so much.
