New Import Trendz Hood Installed
ha i beet you all to it lol jk... today i installed my new hood... the dual extractor... and let me tell you, BLACK LOOKS FKING SWEET WITH CF./... ill take pics tomorrow its to daRk now and the grille is not put in yet. heres my conclusiuon on the hood
Pros:
-first dual extractor
-Very nice cf weave
-Only company left with CF on stock lol
-very aggressive looking
-good p[ackaging (alot of bubble wrap in a huge box)
-fits perfect
Cons:
-very very flimsy
-had a few scratches/chips
-uses tiny screws
-no hood prop space
like i said this hood is extremly flimsy.... im afraid to shut the thing. I set the hood down on the latch and pushed down very carefully on the bottem of the hood to shut it and i almost fell through the hood, the hood went in but thank god it poped out. There is one major scratch, and they missed some CF down by the grill so there are white spots but i got alot of $$ off so im keeping it. I think the reason there is no hood prop is because it would break through the hood.... the only way to shut the hood is open it all the way up and drop it, im so afraid to break it. With the resistance of a hood prop it would shoot through the CF
I rate this hood a 6.5 out of 10..... im happy but kinda pist too

CF is very flimst be carefull with it, and you may want to take wax to it everyweek or so to keep it looking nice and from fading.

^^^ yes def get some hood pins. those types of hoods are known to just take off while driving if wind catches them. sometimes if they are installed incorrect and the latch doesnt line up right or if you dont really shut the hood down hard enough you will lose it.
to close it push it down to the point where you hear the latch grab, then place your hands evenly on the hood and push...thats how i do mine on the cavi. otherwise if you slam it hard or drop it from a high point you a. will damage the hood or b. it wont latch all the way and you will drive off thinking its okay and 5 mins later BAM
