yah i was wondering the same thing, i wanted to get a CF hood, trunk, and wing but paint it blue, plus i would have to get my stripes repainted on all three. But i always though CF was sturdy, just that if it cracked there is no supergluing it back together.

ok i think i was just being worried before i looked close4r and the hood is pretty sturdy..... WATER IS NO ISSUE!!! I ran it today with no mesh(just put it in now) and at school today(UTI) we had tornado warnings...my car sat outside and water poured in.... on a 2.2 all it will do it get water on the intake tube... i have an aftermarket Weapon R and its nice cuz it in a sence kills your heat soak by dripping water on the intake pipe... water wont get in when driving though IT WAS FUKING AMAZING I PUT MY HAND OUT MY SUNROOF AND COULD FEEL THE HOT AIR SHOOTING UP MY WINDSHIELD!!!

i was thinking it would be a good engine bay heat remover, but the same question, i can see how the water would pool in the low part, and then onto the engine. It will only get the engine dirty, but you would think they woulda built a small drain or 2 in the corners, and attach a windscreen squirter tube or something, to control the draining location......
