Can anyone get me the part number for the half tail covers for the coupe? I work at Autozone and could get a discount on them if I have the part no. Thanks

 

There is a G5 Sedan - they come in the GT AND SE base models.



Also, the tail lights are the same - the only difference is the reverse is in the tail light (BUT all they did was add a clear section into the tail light, they didn't make the whole tail light bigger). I am pretty sure the tail lights for both are interchangeable and the way to fix that is for me to check tonight with my boyfriends Sedan.

Before you go on a rant I think you should double check your information.

 

yes but thats only in canada. US doesnt have sedan models

 

Interesting - there are a couple sedans on the forum I am the owner of and they are in the US

 

Funny, that looks different to me... The G5 Sedan is just a Cobalt Sedan... The G5 Coupe is the Cobalt Coupe, just instead of Round tails, they have triangular ones, and instead of reverse light in the trunk it is in the bumper... Look at my yellow one compared to your picture of a Black G5 Sedan

Anyways, Where are my G5 COUPE tails you after market Vendors!?!?!

 

I guess I should take my own advice about ranting.

The tail light height is the same its the length from the outer fender to the bottom of the trunk lid that is different - longer.

Black, red, they are the same basic design is what I think he ment. The black doesn't actualy look that bad.

The Pursuit WAS NEVER sold in AMERICA, only in Canada... The USA only gets the Two Door Version of the Cobalt, called the G5. Go to the Website buddy, pontiac.com, and show me the four door G5, You WON'T find one...

well that is strange cause I see the 4 door G5's here in California all the time, and are actualy labled G5, when I asked the owners, they said they got them from the dealership and seemed perplexed that I had never seen one before. So I'm pretty sure they are sold here, they are just bloody hard to find at a dealership. (like I said I see them on the road all the time, next time I see one, i'll take a picture)

It all depends on alot of things, site space, site quality, car lineup, and weather or not they believe it to be worth it to even put the car on the site. When a 4 dr version of a vehicle looks almost exactly the same as a 2dr that is already highly accepted, sometimes car companies don't bother to put it up on the site. They figure that if people like the look of the 2 door G5, and the 4 door G5 looks almost the same except a little longer, than why put more pictures of the same up on the site? Chevy does it with the 4 door Cobalts because of the fact that the rear end is completely different from the 2 dr Cobalts, they don't want people thinking that the 4 dr has the same rear end as the 2 dr just because of the name, only to show up at the dealership to find out otherwise, and than be discuraged from buying the car because it was not what they expected.

Any way, like I said. It all depends, but in this case, I think it is because the car looks identicle in style, so there is no reason to post more pics of the same.

 

There is still a difference in the rear end... If I was to be in the market for a four door g5, I sure as hell would be disappointed when I found out that the tail lights were the ugly big ones with the revers in them instead of a bigger trunk opening and smaller lights...

But hey, what do I know, and just to see if ya'lls theory was true, I went to SIX different pontiac dealers and NOT ONE of them has ever heard of the four door G5, and it isn't in the brochures at all.
