Official Retrofit Thread

I'm in the process of getting retrofit projectors made by Blown06ss. I really would like to see everyone's setup for retros.

In your post, include the following:
1) Projector type
2) Shroud type (if applicable)
3) Ballast type and HID temp.

Here's the place to display your pictures.

How easy is it to install the switchbacks? I've heard of these, I've just never inquired much about them. Your retros look good!

That works. If you're asking if I'm interested in them, I'm not. I'm in the process of having a set made for me. Thanks though.

^^ I like those. I recently worked on a Saturn Astra and I was looking at the lights and wondering how difficult it'd be to use them in a retrofit and if anyone had done it. It looks good man.

Those headlights are wicked man. How'd you do that? Just buy astra lights and and gut them and put them inside the balts??

i like the astra ones i just wish the shroud wasnt soo big, i think if it was blacked out it would look pretty rediculous. none the less its a sexy light

This is actually the same setup I am going after. How do you like the FX-R projectors? Where did you purchase your HID kit from? Do you have any pictures of your cutoff and light output?

Switchbacks are awesome. Check out the headlight sticky to see more info on them. They works great, and need resistors, but they are very simple to install. I never want standard turn signal bulbs again.

I was looking at switchbacks for my bike for the longest time. I never thought about them for my Cobalt. I'll have to check them out.

Bump for more retros!

1) Infiniti FX45 Bi-xenon projectors
2) Custom polished stainless steel shroud, with chrome trim
3) 35W D2S, with 4300k bulbs
Misc; 4500k halos mounted on shroud as DRL's.
Still uses the stock adjustment screws.

Edit: After getting quite a few PM's on this, I should mention that I built these 100% myself.... the fabbing, wiring, etc was all done in my own shop.
They were not bought, or ordered from anyone.
And as far as I know, they are the only polished (or unpainted) retrofit on CSS.

Off

HID's on

Halo's only

Another pic of halo's only
