Thumbs up RK Sport Carbon Fiber Hood!!!

It's finally here! Our Cobalt Ram Air hood is now available in Carbon Fiber!

This is not an overseas unit that is made of "woven black fiberglass" or "screen printed" with a carbon fiber look.

This hood is made from real aerospace carbon fiber and marine grade poly resins and proudly made right here in Murrieta California.

We guarantee for the life of our hoods that they will never delaminate! Also our resins don't yellowover time. There is nothing worse than paying the bucks for a C/F hood, clear coating it and months later have it turn milky yellow under the clear coat!!

Part # is 12011005

Retail is $845

BUT..... For my fellow Cobalt SS . net members I am taking off $100
YOUR PRICE IS JUST $745.00

+ freight

This deal is only available if you call us here at RK Sport 800-214-8030

If you PM or e-mail me an order I'll throw in an RK Sport T-shirt.

jwright@rksport.com

"The Racecrafter"

P.S. Before I forget... These hoods are made to order. Your order will be filled within two- three weeks of your order date. Thanks! RC

They come with a clear gel coat. This is part of the make up of the hood itself and does not have the shine of a clear coated hood. Many C/F hood owners don't clear coat the hood and just wax it to keep it looking good, but still with less shine. Also the clear coat adds a bit more protection against rock chips and scratches.

You can (and have to) scuff sand the surface to make the clear coat adhere to the surface. Once you clear coat it, it looks great. (Underneath the clear coat on your car is a dull, semi flat paint. the clear coat makes it shine as well as protecting that paint.)

Are your taxes in Toronto different from other providences in Canada? We sell quite a bit of product in Quebec and BC. (Unless you are doing the conversion to Canadian Dollars)

i had the taillights on my 2k1 r/t smoked and i sanded it all off and clear coated them.

before the clear they were very very dull. i put clearcoat on it and they're brand new again. im sure the hood would be the same thing.

Tax in Ontario is 15%, 7% provincial and 8% federal. I believe he's adding the original price, tossing the shipping on top and then multiplying in the tax. After that the conversion from USD -> CAD would bring it up closer to the $1200 he was expecting...though I'm not sure what the exchange rate is right now and somewhere in there we might have to pay duty if someone at the border is in a bad mood that day .

Do you understand that the CAD is almost at Par with the USD?

Find someone in Bufalo and ship it to them then drive to pick it up...

on the website its kinda annoying that they only have the 2.0 and 2.2 listed, there needs to be a 2.4 section and on top of that nothing on there that says for 2006
