All these people saying silverstars burn out are more than likely touching the glass with their fingers before install which will cause the bulbs to fail early. As long as you wear latex gloves during install or just don't touch the glass, they will last just as long as any other halogen bulb... But way brighter of course!
Just for reference I had silver star bulbs in my cougar before I retrofitted it for a year, then I sold those used bulbs and they are still working in the person's car I sold them to.

i called em for the warranty, and Sylvania says they only have a supposed lifetime of 30 days, 'its normal because its a high performance bulb'

Just a note on the Silverstars, I bought mine last august, and they lasted untill about november before I started to notice a serious drop in light output. Now in april they hardly light up the road at all at night. But I may have gotten a bad batch.

anyone who has replaced their bulbs, what wattage did u get?
i just picked up a set of noyka 9007 and h11.
9007 = 100/120w
h11 = 100w
i'm worried that they will get too hot, especially since the light housings are plastic.
