Love the rims, far and close. The Ohio meet is pretty much right in the middle of final exams

we are going to try something local in mid-march....we need everyone to come out this time.
Thanks for the comment on the rims...and of course it's suppose to snow over the next few days. I guess the cars not leaving the driveway this week....

Anyone here keep their XM radio after their 3 month trail ran out?
I'm seriously thinking about keeping it,I still have like 20 days left before it runs out.
Just curious if anyone else kept it the free trail

At the time mine expired there were some promotional prices but I actually called them up to see if they could do any better. Even the promotional prices seem high when just about everyone has an ipod and of course the FREE radio. I called because I heard that XM was not doing that well, but they did not bite, so I did not renew.

I've been searching the OCC page and the rtp page for people selling the SS lower grille, and I can't find any that are close to here
You think if I go to like a body shop/collision type shop they'd be able to order me a used one or something?
I don't really want to buy one at full price and I like the look of the lower grille in the SS/SC

ask the guys on this forum in the classified section...I'm sure someone has one that they will ship to you. I found mine used and had it shipped.

I let mine expire because they called and offered me to renew at $160 for a year, which, based on my driving habits, was too much to justify. So I held out not thinking about it much, and then a few months later they sent me an offer in the mail for half that price ($80 + tax) so I couldn't resist at that point. Doing the math, it's less than $10 a month so that I can handle.

If you have to pay taxes bringing back into Canada you might as well just buy it over here.....I did not have to pay luckily (PM me about it)

I do have it.....got it from crateenginedepot.com(CED) and shipped to the UPS store downtown Detroit. The best local price I got from Dane Kane was 475.00 and 61.00 for the tip. Really not a bad deal. In the end I paid 396.00 US from crateenginedepot.com shipped and bought the tip from Dane Kane for 61.00.

Nates 2.9 pulley should be here soon too. I wouldn't mind getting a SAFE custom tune done, but I would need to be able to go back to the stage two flash if any warranty issues came up, any ideas? Is a tune even necessary for what I have done? It seems like everyone has an opinion and they are all over the place. I would like to think that opening up the exhaust a little bit will keep the added boost of the 2.9 in check. As in the same as it was with stage two and the stock exhaust (115-120 Kpa). I'm hoping that the performance exhaust will subdue any knock retard that might be present with a 2.9 pulley and the restrictive stock exhaust on a stage two flash.
Actually, it looks like I will be running almost the exact same engine set up as you, except I have a K&N with the airbox mod. I should really pay more attention, LOL. So anyway, it doesn't look like you have any issues on that set up with the stage two tune? Did you get the 2.9 before or after the exhaust?

wow.. if I knew that, I would still be in a Cobalt right now.. probably a brand-new one.. Revenburg SERVICE fucked my car so hard its engine knocked like a diesel.. thats how hard they fucked it..
but its okay.. I fucked them good in return.. every survey i returned noted negative.. and for some weird reason, a specific person in that service dept. no longer works there..
I also had leased my Cobalt through Gus.. I'll never return to buy a car there though.. let alone anywhere in Windsor.. too expensive..
and good buy on the exhaust.. you'll enjoy it..

jrtz80....great buy on the exhaust including tip! You will love the sound. I put my 2.9 on after the exhaust install. For me the stage 2 tune is fine....no difference running stage 2 tune with these bolt on's. You will see quicker boost with the 2.9 through all gears. I did a lot of research and everyone says that 2.9 is ok with stage 2 tune.
Are you going to install the 2.9 and exhaust yourself? Let me know if you need any help!
