Yeah brother! All is stock in exception of the parts replaced by the Stage 2 Kit.
If it's only 15% drive loss, then I'm looking at 306 hp at the crank with 289 ft-lbs of torque, I'm still smiling

D man, tks for the info. I guess I already had it in the PM, hehe. And yeah, you should have joined us at the dyno, the price lured me in and finding out just how much of a difference the Stage 2 made.

Wow wlee, those are nice numbers for a stock set up. I never knew the Mazda speeds were that powerful. What is it rated from factory?

Frank.. the stock rating is 263hp, 280lb.ft torque..

so im at 293hp, 293lb.ft... way under-rated.. that's using 15% drivetrain loss calculation..

both of you guys are pullin' some real nice numbers..

its a hell of a difference over the Cobalt to be totally honest.. i don't really think the cars are comparable though..

they are meant for two different things..

I'm thinking of meeting more of you fellas on the 13th. I also spoke with a buddy at work that has a modded NA Cobalt. He and I would like to see what numbers it's running so we may call up Joel. He's from the Chatham area, so it'd be a nice cruise for him.

As for the 19th, I'd like to go, I just can't commit just yet as the work schedule might change near the date.

I think there might be two others guys coming out on the 13th with SS/NA's. I'd like to go on a small cruise somewhere on the 13th maybe after we gather at the waterfront. Maybe to Amherstburg and back along the river...something along those lines. Just a thought?

Weather is not looking good, Saturday: Cloudy Periods, Sunday: Rain. Although it may shift, I think we're likely to be rained out. If it's just sprinkling, it would still work, at least the meeting part. The cruise as Darren suggested can still be a go. I don't mind a little rain myself. It's snow that sucks.

I don't believe the forecast anything beyond three days away. They said this weekend was supposed to be rain last Tuesday, but now look at the awesome weather we have in store. Have some faith, and maybe we'll get lucky.

As for the Amherstburg cruise, that's a great idea. I'd be in for that for sure. If it's warm enough and the sun is shining, that's a great way to take a ride. Sign me up!

man they cant even predict for 2moro not 8 days lol

sing $503,000 in federal and state gas tax revenue to pay for overtime, nine police agencies in Riverside, California sent more than one hundred police officers to surround a gathering of automotive enthusiasts. Owners of imported sport compact cars had gathered at the Canyon Crossing shopping center on Friday night to swap stories, talk about their passion for cars and show off the latest enhancements to their rides. At around 11pm police surprised participants by blocking all exits with fifty police cruisers. Officers then began a warrantless search and interrogation operation of the 150 vehicles that were present.

"If you're not into street racing, why would you need that?" Riverside Police Traffic Sergeant Skip Showalter asked an enthusiast during a similar crackdown last year. "Why would you want more power going to your car?"

Police issued a total of forty-eight tickets for "engine modifications" with police accusing the owners of the parked vehicles of being street racers. Another fifty tickets were issued for paperwork violations, dark window tinting and lack of a front license plate. The most revenue, however, will be generated from the fees imposed on twenty vehicles that were confiscated. Despite labeling the parking lot raid as taking place at a "street racing venue," Riverside Police offered no evidence that any street racing actually took place.

Across the state, gas tax funds are regularly used to fund similar crackdowns that generate big revenue. In 2004, the California Highway Patrol issued a total of 101,553 "modified car" citations worth $10.5 million according to CHP data obtained by TheNewspaper.

Other law enforcement agencies participating in Friday night's raid included the California Highway Patrol, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and police from Baldwin Park, Fontana, Irwindale, Moreno Valley, Ontario and Mount San Jacinto Community College.
