Good times boys. Like I mentioned to Darren earlier, it was nice to be able to put some faces with the names. Now I just gotta figure out which names to put with what screen name... :P

Unfortunately I had to miss out this time. I had the Mother's day thing a little earlier this year. Next time.
I have a question for you guys. Where do you get you car serviced? Any preferences? This is the first Chevy I have ever purchased and I bought it private. So if you don't mind sharing your experience with dealers, please let me know.

Ok guys check your schedules and let me know if you can attend this BBQ with the Michigan crew from seecarclub.net... I know a few of you were interested when we talked about it this past Sunday. (the attendee list below is from their site) This is about a 40-45 minute drive from Detroit. Let me know!
Saturday, May 17
1:00 pm @ Kensington Metropark
You bring it, we burn it!
We will be meeting near Martindale Beach
2240 W. Buno Road, Milford, MI 48380 (Park office, NOT where we're meeting!)
There is a $4 entrance fee to get into the park. There will be toll booths at the entrance, I believe they only take cash. So make sure to bring $4!
We have rented a pavilion at Kensington, so we will have a covered picnic area, grills, access to the water, and plenty of parking.
I'd just like to point out a few rules, so we dont get in trouble while we're at the BBQ. You bring the meat, we'll do the cooking.
Does anyone want to volunteer to help cook? I'll need 2 or 3 people that will be willing to grill, and we ask that they actually know what they're doing
- Alcohol is allowed (BYOB), but glass bottles are not. No underage drinking, and no being a complete drunken fool. Those that are drinking are expected to drink responsibly.
- Dogs are allowed, but they must remain on a 6' leash. Considering the nature of this event, dogs probably wouldnt be a good idea anyway.
- Police DO patrol the park quite regularly, so please dont be an idiot.
I posted this on cobaltss.net and ****************** as well, so hopefully we'll be having quite a few people here.
Directions to the park are pretty easy. Once you're into the park, we will be at the very first pavilion in the park. Go past the toll booths and take go to the first drive on the right.
From Detroit: Take I96 West to the Kent Lake Rd. Exit (Exit 153). Follow the exit ramp to the right, through the toll booths to the first drive on the right.
I made up a printable flyer, with the directions on them if anyone wanted to bring it with them for reference.

I've been using Jerome taylor for the last little bit. Seems pretty nice, there pretty good in there with me, buffed out some scratch marks in my one rim for no charge, and i've never had a problem with a rental from them when my car will be taking to long while in the shop. Luckily havent had any "actual" service, just maintenance.

Put me down for the BBQ, unless something urgent comes up, I'm in. I'm trying to get a buddy from work that has a slightly modded N/A Balt to come out too.

Hey guys,
Looks like I'm getting rid of the 'balt. My lease is up next month and tomorrow I'm signing the papers to get an HHR SS. So at least I'm sticking with an SS! I'm really going to miss the SS/SC but I just felt I needed a bit more room.
I'll still be around though, and maybe I'll stop by at one of the upcoming meets.
If anyone is interested I've got a K&N CAI and a set of 16" aluminum rims with X-Ice tires.

The one I've got is an actual K&N. I still have the original box and instructions (and stickers) with it. Overall it's in good shape, there are a couple grooves/scratches on it from where it must have been rubbing on something. Since it's been used for about a year and a half the filter will require a "recharge". I think you can buy the kit for that at Canadian tire. I'll post some pictures up later tonight.
Oh, and I'd be happy to get $75 for it.

Darren, you are right, the wheels from the cobalt should fit the HHR, but I don't need them anymore. The HHR comes with all season tires unlike the cobalt. Plus it's just another lease which I intend to turn in so I really don't care about taking care of the wheels as much. NoVaCaiNe has offered to buy them, and I'm glad that they are going to a fellow SS/SC owner who will put them to good use. My wife will be happy to get them out of our basement.
