Just letting everyone know that was at the track today that the 17 year old female driver that was in the crash, passed away. Please let our thoughts and prayers be with her family.

Today when we went to the track at Cayuga, there was a jet car...basically has a jet engine...her second run, only one of her chutes opened and she hit the side and then the car just went into the air in one huge ball of flame and pieces went flying.

It was Kendall Hebert who was the driver. The fastest 17 year old Jet Car driver. She crashed after running a 5.21 at 303.833mph. Her left chute only opened causing her to grab to the left and put her into the wall at that speed. The car instantly was destroyed. The news report at 6:00pm stated that she later died in the hospital.
My heart and prayers go out to her family

wow, see I don't agree for anyone to be racing unless they're old enough to do it as in it's their own car and not just the father's or mother's who's got them racing. Last time at Cayuga I saw at 10 year old crash into the side of a trailer on an ATV, she came out with a bloody face, it was horrible.
This is very sad my condolences to the family of the 17 year old.

Read her profile, she's been racing since 3 years old. She was actually the new racer on the team this year for the jet car, signed on for 3 years to go out and "wow" the crowds with the car. The team owners must be devistated along with her family.

Way too young too die...my heart felt condolences out to the family. It was a horrific to see that puff of black smoke after the run. I hope parents will reconsider before putting another baby in a death trap like that.
