Manitoba SS 2013

I just got back from a little drive and seems like I've fixed the problem. There is a small insert on the cable itself under the engine bay. It was unclipped and loose. I put it back and it clicked into place and put the grommet back. If this holds up for the next couple of days I can see me being fine with the way it's shifting.
I just hope my cables aren't shot cause I'd hate to have to spend $200 on something that shouldn't of broke.
I think STS would be best for me cause I'm probably not responsible enough to handle more power. I also have drive train warranty till July so I wouldn't want to screw that up. Also would like to hit up the 1/4 mile at least once to have a baseline of what real performance mods will make.
Haha that was me thinking out loud.
(edit) Lol. Projekt mentioning the warranty thing. Wasn't up when I started to type out my post.

At the time, there was no HPT, only the 'superchips' tuner iirc;
If someone is apprehensive about being "safe" and not voiding any standing warranty, GMS1 is the only way to go.
These days if you're going to tune, I'd still say upgrading the MAPs is a good move, I'd also advocate buying the CED plug & play connectors so that there's no problems down the road associated with crappy connections...
It's not two sentances, but as close as you're going to get out of me.

where's your car now?
I've understood that since tuning, you've had one problem after another - which is why you were going back to stock...
I'm now over 90,000km, no issues (knock on wood), no SES, and since tuning I've had no cause to go back to the dealer for service work...
I've sat back, watched and learnt through other's (posted) experiences...

Of course you will run into problems when you push something to its limits. I didn't ***** foot around my car waiting for others to try things. Im included in the people you sat back and watched, If you recall i was the first one to test/dyno Infiniboost.
And no, i haven't had one problem after another Jon. I've had one problem that i have fixed. Reason Im going back to stock is because i don't give a single fck about cobalts anymore, I've owned cobalts longer then you have been writing articles for readers digest
Back to point. You suggest the best way to mod a ss/tc is
GMS1
Aftermarket downpipe
Aftermarket tune.
Very general statement Jon. And i strongly disagree with you.
Please don't go around preaching this to other SS/TC members, Some of them don't have endless pockets like you apaprently do.

this isn't the first time I've seemed to rile him up;
the irony is that in his last post, he's misquoted me - which would make a profound difference.
I will continue to offer my advice, as i always have.
You want some LSJ wheels?
What's this great price you found??

I went with the BPS. Seemed like the best bang for your buck. Also like that I can use the stock knob and don't have to pay ridiculous amounts for a new one.
Still waiting for BPS to send me an invoice though. Think I might pm them soon.
