You should throw the screwed up rim on your car and put a nail hole in and get the whole thing replaced.

So I asked MPI to advise Drhook to call me before they try loading up my car so I can be sure it is done safely.
Come outside of my work and find them loading up my car with the intercooler firmly gouged into the ramps.
Having a great couple weeks here!

Hey, I recently bought a 2008 Cobalt Sport 2.4L I'm looking at doing mods to the car and was wondering if anyone knew a good mechanic that can do the install of the mods. Im not a mechanic lol I wish I could but right now don't know enough to do anything.
Im also looking at getting new rims any good sites that do cost a fortune after shipping and other taxes.

thanks in advance

Welcome
Yeah bluelightning can take care of your modification needs. Depending on what you want to do a few people on here know what's going on if you have questions.

Discount tire and the tire rack are both pretty good. Or locally speed factor seems pretty reasonable.

Looking for new exhaust cold air intake possibly a turbo maybe if its not too costly and lowering it not sure how much lower our streets aren't the best for lowered cars.
I'm also having problems taking my panels off to replace the stereo any suggestions on how I can get them off without breaking them.

Thanks. Mike

Ya I remember the first time I took off the dash panels on my car. It can be a little scary because they are clipped on super tight. If up I know where the clips are you can pry on them with a flat blade screw driver. But otherwise just pull haha. They won't break.

Yeah they sound super cheap and fragile but they are Surprisingly strong.
If you want to go a bit lower you can either get Lnf springs and shocks (wont be much lower but will be a handling improvement)
Or get pedders (what blue lightning is current on) a more expensive route would be ZZP yyz springs. They are higher quality.

Some guy on the Facebook group had another member do it in shop class at his school. Dunno if I'd trust highschool kids working on my car though.

I think eventually I wanna go with YYZ springs. Only spring that is actually proven to be better than stock handling wise. I also don't want to be "slammed" either. It's not practical.

Anyway I bought some tires. They're old but have tons of tread left. Only have one issue. It's not actually that bad and it lays flat. I just pulled it down for the pic.

Lots of tread left. I don't car if they're not the greatest tire and not planning to run them for more then a summer.

Used on the cobalt classifieds IMO.

Otherwise it depends what brand you want as there are several.

I narrowed it down to 3 kinds B&G, H&R, or progress springs looks like progress is the ones due to our great winnipeg streets. would the B&G or H&R be too low for winter ?
