it cost nothing except a few scraped knuckles. i did it myself took 2-3 hours to do only cause i broke a plastic piece on mine and had to improvise to make it work again. otherwise it woulda only maybe taken 1.5 to 2 hours
heres a pict of it installed (not my car)

well after more cobalts decided to join me, courtney and jp, i lost everyone except for the black one which i met 2 years ago....very good kid, but back to the story, me and the black ss/sc were just whining up down main and a fairlady was behind us, and started to rev so i went onto the right lane and let him in between us...the black ss/sc didnt want to run but i as hell did, and we did...beat the fairlady once....next was from a roll and even from that i beat him again, both these times i had my back bumper about im guessing a foot away from his front bumper and we slowed down...the last one was when i was heading back on portage to head home, he came out of no where and the black ss/sc said "oh he's back, wants some more" so i think people know me already so i raced him again, this time he had both turbo's working @ the same time in 2nd gear and we went and i had a front bumper infront of him and he was impressed...asked if i was stock told him no and he said, thought so b/c that thing is quick and i asked what he had, he has different turbos, intercoolers, boost controller, etc etc etc...very nice guy and he was impressed...then had to go home...but oh well...maybe next time i'll get to race him again...
oh good to finally see ssnipes and kennyspec on portage together...hopefully the dual pass is showing some good results ssnipes...

tonite was awesome...finaly got to meet the person ive stalked for the last 3 months (Thought) lol. it was awesome on the last run to see 3 cobalts randomly pull up to us out of no where..and one of them was WES!!! to bad i left before you got that kill juan..would have been awesome to see a domestic beat a RHD 300ZX!!! grats on the kill

the fairladys really depend on condition. 100% are old cars, 90% are automatics, 50% are not twin turbo.
Glad you had a win with one of the rarer ones. I am still waiting to get beside the guy who lives by me again now that I have the stage 2 though it sounds like the guy you beat was him so I don't know if he will bother again.
Thanks for ruining my fun

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and do live in Manitoba
I recently bought a 07 SS/SC, Lazer Blue, my first one just two weeks back, I've been registered here a bit longer doing research if this car is for me, etc.
I'm wondering where is a good place to get my windows tinted here in WPG, and is it possible to get it done by friday unless there is a long wait.
Also I had a question which I couldn't really find an answer to, if I want to buy a new shifter knob, can I just go anywhere and buy one or does it have to be specific since the way the car has to go into reverse, there is a little lever you have to lift up on, on the knob
Thank You very much for any help

welcome to the forums...which shift knob were you thinking of going with?? Most of us got our tints done @ 98 tint haus on wall street and i'm gettin my tint done again since orion scratched my tint and i believe its going to be there again...reasonable price, great guy and he doesnt take too long either. Your also allowed to watch him do the tints and talk with him as he's doing it for you....which % were u thinking of going?

Not sure on the %, but the darkest possible as long as they are still legal
well the only ones I've been looking at have been at canadian tire (not the best place) but just looking for now. They had one called Ractive, sport shift knob. chrome look, with greyish leather wrapped around in the middle
http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...=1186429963357
is a picture, I'm looking for one, with that kind of look if possible, but I am open for better suggestions, as I don't really want to hack up my shifter to install one(as per some of the guides on here)
and for the 98 tint haus, is the address: 755 Wall St?

ChiGoku!? like... m!6 ChiGoku!? Either way, welcome!
As for the tings, doubt Paul will be able to give you a deal, we did this back in late May, it's been a good time. But it's worth a shot. Good install, life time warrenty. I don't think anyone has had many issues? Dane had a few problems, but nothing serious I don't think.
As for the shift knob, really depends on if you wanna get just a knob, or a new shifter.. Problem with our knob setup is that it's not threaded on the same way as most knobs. Ours also is attached with little screws holding it on. You may get lucky though.
Personally if you're looking for a new look, I'd suggest getting a short shifter, either Hurst or B&M are good. I prefer the Hurst personally.

Bingo
Thanks for the info in tinting, do you know how late he is open till??
And for the shifter, the B&M defenitly has a shorter look, but prefer the other style, but for the shorter shifter knob, won't I have to take it all a part and hack it up a bit?

I went to Murray's today and made a deal with the Sunburst SS/SC, after being told several times i don't need a co-signer i shake hands and agree to buy it. I wait around for maybe an hr. to get into the office to sign the papers and swap keys etc. I'm told that i do need a co-signer now, such a **** off. I was there for 3+ hrs in total, my dads on vacation for another week so the car will likely be gone by next week.
