Lol like I said. I do everything myself so they were free...I have eurolite black paint at my house so I taped them, scuffed them up, painted them a couple coats and the car looks so pissed off. Gives it a whole new mean look at night with the headlights. Everyone loves it.

if anyone is attempting to do headlight color matches . . . .the touch up paint from the dealer is in fact never the same color ! our cars like most others now a days have metallics in the paint , like almost all of our cars. metallic paint is sprayed on evenly from the factory. when applying touch up paints or touch up spray paint or even touch up sticks , the metallics in the paint hardley ever will lay right, it's damn near impossible to match the meatllic finish of the oem on the vehicle to a part that your painting unless your a professional painter and understand the flow of metallic and pearls. then you also have to consider if your wanting to do headlight spray ins or color matching parts . . . there are procedures that you must do in order to do the job right. and then you have to clear the parts to get the gloss and shine in set parts . touch up products from the dealer , part source , walmart , home depot . . . these paints do not have clear in them, espeically the ones from the dealer !!!! ******* gm parts dept lol . i just wouldnt want to see the sun burst orange metallics having neon orange or even a redder orange headlight then the car . i say this not to scare anyone form trying to be different , just be careful of what you want to do cause in the end, it has potential to get very bad and pricey.

Well I just got my 3" downpipe with a cutout. IT IS SOOOO LOUD. Im taking the eletric cutout switch I have from my SRT so then I can switch from stock exhaust to downpipe with a simple switch. It feels so much more powerful too now. Good torque gain.

 

Are you getting any CELs?

 

how much was the 3 inch?? i already can tell wat the cut out sounds like cuz i was going to leave my exhaust like that when i changed it but too raspy for my liking...but backfires fucken loud...needless to say i dont backfire loud as it is...

well I learned something today that I know is true. I am really disappointed. I entrusted someone with some info and it has turned into the rumor sess pool.

Now it did not become anything damaging or anything like that. I know people talk, speculate and then a rumor begins. I just want to head it off, tell you the truth, and then let it go. hopefully it hasnt been a topic of discussion.

firstly - I spoke to a member or members on this forum who were considering a new Cobalt SC. I offered that they could take over my lease. there is nothing wrong with my car. I like it. but I did consider other options or even a new Cobalt SC myself.

second - I work full time, have a family, and I am a Overtime ****. that is why I am not at gimili. I think you would agree that my kids would have more fond memories of dad taking them to Grand Forks rather than leaving them at home so Dad can go to the racetrack! (they are girls)

Believe it or not if we went to GF in september instead then I had a deal done that would give me Aug. 18 and the 25th. For various reasons that is not going to happen. hopefully there will be dates in september I can make. I will be really pissed if I dont get even one day.
Anybody want to drive me to GF if I pay for their gas? We need to leave right after Gimili say 1:00, drop off my car and by 5:00 be in GF having dinner - Ground Round anybody?.....LOL.
