You need a helmet if you run faster than 14.00, this has always been a rule at gimli, you need a roll cage if faster than 11.50. Neutrino if you're running slicks then get a helmet because you'll be in the 13's for sure, if not then I guess just run

 

They probably can't tune the car with a Stage 2, they don't have access to tunes other than the one registered for your VIN. Your best bet would be to get Wes or Kenney to flash you ASAP, IMO.

Sucks though, damned computers make tuning a lot harder than it used to be IMO...

It's anything faster than a 14.00, and they're not too strict if you break it by a few tenths, most of the techs don't notice. When I ran low 13's no one said anything, for a while, and then I got aproached by one of the officials and he told me to get a helmet from a friend or pack it up for the day

 

'the hell are we going to use for a catch can?....

On a side note.. I appologize everyone, but there will be no filming done by me today. I am a complete retard, and forgot to charge my camera.. it's still sitting in the bag with a dead battery from last time we were in Gimli.... DAMN!

I couldnt believe my eyes when I looked at his tune. Identical to stock. Juan said he asked if they flash it. they said no. the spark plugs were black from running the engine to just get around and idling. you know, just cruising, then there was a light frost in on top of the black on the electrode from running lean at WOT. just was grose.

spark plug change helped some but not enough. they did screw his car up bad with out fixing his problem. I have no idea what the techs were thinking and then lied or mistakingly flashed it to stock really takes the cake.


I tried to save his race day but alas the gods were not with us that day.

That is dump that we have to do that. whatever.

Pleasent surprise for me when I got home. I left the track thinking my best 1/4 was 14.62, when I got home I reviewed my slips to see I actually had a 14.57!

Doesn't seem to have worked. I think mines a little looser then most poeples. Some times if I have the hook popped and I'm just working/cleaning the car it'll just pop off on it's own. lol.
