Anyone want to help me install those 2 lights that I have?? I was told it was a simple process since.. well, there isn't really anything needed to it, but I have also read no need to get a fuse for it since your just splicing them into the cigarette lighter??

I'll bring them along in case someone decides to help, should I bring something more specific so we can get the switch hooked up, like a drill

Okay for sure, if you want, you can PM your address or just post it in, that way I can map it so I know where I am going

LED Lights

OK folks. Here is our LED lights group purchase lol. For starters, here are our light sizes, officially (minor changes for different years):

912 or 921
Fog light
H11
License plate, Front sidemarker, Rear sidemarker, Trunk
194
Map light (not 100% sure what this refers to)
2825
Dome light (haven't tested this one myself)
562
Step/Courtesy light (not 100% sure what this refers to)
212-2
So now you know the sizes, here is where I will be ordering from:
http://hid-lights.com/ (click on "Miniature LED Light")
Here is some info I learned the hard way to help you make your choices:
  • For rear sidemarkers, the light cannot be too "tall" or it won't fit. That's why I was stuck with some extra 194s that I sold as trunk lights. The http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/194-9w.html light I used for the trunk light will also fit in the front side marker area too. But for the rear sidemarkers, I would suggest the http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/GP-194-5w.html light, which I plan to order next.
  • For the license plate light, there is a metal clamp that literally digs into the light, and you are on your own to experiment with what will work in there. I use the http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/194-1w.html light and it fits in there fine.
  • If you decide to do the turn signals, you will need to wire in resistors for each light as well (http://www.hid-lights.com/resistor-6ohm.htm) or else the blinker will blink crazy fast, thinking you have a burned-out light (cause LEDs use so little power). These resistors heat up and will melt any plastic. Mine melted a hole through my airbox, after the MAF, causing some weird behaviour on the track, as well as melting through a few wires. So if you decide to go this route, you will need to pick yourself up some extra wire and soldering tools, and some self-tapping metal screws. I can help anyone who wants to do this, so you can learn from my mistakes.
  • Again, for turn signals: The replacement set I bought (I broke one on install) for my front signals do not fit as they are too wide to fit through the hole. I originally bought the http://www.globalpremier.com/3157-18w.htm light which fits great in the rear and will clear the hole in the front. But the replacement http://www.globalpremier.com/3157-20W.htm light I bought is too wide.
  • Yet again, for turn signals: For some reason, only the front turn signal holders have two little tabs, or raised plastic edges that need to be filed down in order for LED replacements to fit. I can show you which part I am talking about if you want to do the front signals.

Cliff notes:
The recommended, plug-and-play and brightest LEDs are:
For Front Side Markers (2) and trunk (1):
http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/194-9w.html
For Rear Side Markers (2):
http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/GP-194-5w.html
For License plate (1):
http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/194-1w.html
For High-mount Brake Light (3):
http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/GP-921-9w.html
For Reverse Lights (same as brake) (2):
http://www.hid-lights.com/products/led/GP-921-9w.html

(These are just my recommendations, based on price and what worked for me.)
All of these together cost "about" $60.44 USD shipped for the set.
All bulbs are sold in pairs from the site, so if we all order the same type, we are bound to get extras, thereby lowering the cost. They also offer bulk discounts, further lowering the cost.

Now on to how to order. You tell me what you want, then I order it. Then when it comes, I give you the lights and you give me money. If you don't give me the money, I pee in your gas tank. Easy

Oh, I almost forgot to put in a deadline. I'll order on the 15th of October, my payday (for obvious reasons).
