turbo. only way to go if you can spend the money.

it is easier to say that if you keep up with the twin screw thread, pro charger (centrifugal supercharger) thread and twin charge thread.

personally i may go stage 3+a good H/E and be done with it if i am not done with it already. I may also get the gmpp touring exhaust. good chance i am done though. I love how my car looks, love how it feels, love how it sounds and i LOVE how it turns heads.

in my opinion.....

Turbo is the best way to go on a 4 cyl. I dont think that my kit will be any more expensive than a twin screw or a procharger kit.

and my opinion of a procharger = Worst of both worlds.... All the lag of a turbo, with the power loss of a supercherger. LOL

it is inefficient on a 4 cyl. and i wasnt implying that turbo was expensive. no more than twin screw or procharger anyway. if i had the money to do anything it would be turbo.

centrifugal chargers are still not as good as turbo though. again my opinion. i just wish i could afford a V8 car and all 3 set ups to see which i like better hahaha.

twin screw does not mean twin charged. it is just a more efficient way of forced induction than a positive displacement air compressor. What makes the Lysholm screw type superchargers better than the standard is they have higher thermal efficiency. A twinscrew also compresses the air internally. Of course I am just going on what I have read so it could all be garbage. Our superchargers were designed for low boost where they can be around 80%-90% efficient. The twin screw is efficient with higher boost but still robs our small engines of power. Turbo doesn't and is highly efficient except it suffers from some lag.

So no, you wouldn't be able to tell people you are turbocharged and supercharged. There would be no BOV. Just the scream of the S/C.... like we already have except louder and not by much. Though the people making the kits for our cobalts are not making them quiet like most companies do.

When you pop the hood and tell people it is "turbod and supercharged" you really will get some looks. hehe, when they ask where the turbo is.

Now it would be interesting if you got a twin screw charger and turbod it. lol
