they have the solstice/sky tc at $35000
they have the soon to be camaro at $30000-40000
they have a ton of cars from 13000-20000
The ss/tc will be saturated anywhere but priced below $30000

im thinking under 25k since cad=usd(approx)
i just think its possible it could be a bit more expensive because of the new features that sound rather expensive.

new FE5 Sport suspension with specific stabilizer bars, spring rates and damper tuning
"no-lift shift" feature on manual-transmission models
projector-beam foglamps

just to name a few.

Very true. GM has a lot of cars within several different price points. The Cobalt line has always filled the game between 20k-30k. I can't see the SS/TC being more then 27k, were the SS/SC started out (before price drops in mid-late 06)

These are all features that come in all the other LNF setups. Tgis powerplant is now being mass produced for 4 different GM brand models (Solstice, Sky, HHR, Cobalt). So it probably costs them less if anything to drop it into this car then the 2.0L SC plant did.

The FE5 is also the HHR SS suspension, which has simply been retuned, so the hardware is probably 90% the same as the already in production HHR SS parts. The extra features line no-lift shift and competition mode are also available on the Solstice/Sky.

So, over all.. it probably costs GM less to produce the new SS/TC then it ever did to produce the SS/SC.

My buddy brought over his 360 and we already completed Coop career and most of solo career. But then he got tired and went home.. now no more GH3 for me till I get my xbox back

Good luck with reliability on that turbocharged motors....all the GM nerds can say what they want but its alot of power going to a FWD stock...Why do you think they discontinued the SRT-4s...it was a WAYYYYY better motor than the SS and all of them were constantly back in the shop.

The Caliber SRT4 has 300hp and it is continually delayed production because it is breaking down all the time. Sure you can say Chevy>Dodge but it won't make a difference...

Sure the idea of a 260hp turbo cobalt is a great idea but when everyone has leases for thier cars (ex JP,me,tdot) its not going to be worth it to trade up...REP the SS/SC because you are going to be screwed with money owing if you try and trade up.

Just my 2 cents.

Thats coming from a guy that already has a TC and SC car though

Guys the projector driving lamps? we always had them they are no different.

the FE5 suspension? The cabalt lt had basic suspension, SS had FE3, SS/SC had FE5.
The FE5 they talk of is refined to improve it. At least that is how I have read reviews in the past that our cars have FE5.

Wes is right. The fabulous "new" FE-5 suspension is not new. It is retuned.

Oh, and congrats to Dayne!!!!

For some reason, the world feels a bit more "right" now - just seems more comfortable to see that car in the PL.

GM nerd, has to be kidding me...

Cobalt SS motor.....2.0 litre, only can handle 300ish hp without blowing up

SRT4 motor....2.4 litre, can handle up to 450hp on stock internals...

MY SRT owns my SS besides looks...its a fact ask anyone....SRT>SS for motor

Buh bye

This is one of the worst posts I've seen in a while, all your facts are wrong.

First of all, what's wrong with 260hp in a FWD? the truth is that's not a whole lot of power nowadays. The SRT-4 production stopped because the neon/sx chassis was finished, just like gm killed the cav/sunfires in 05, then Dodge upgraded to a new body. The car wasn't discontinued ever.

Where did you read that the Caliber SRT-4 was 300hp and delayed for a second? The car is 280hp and it was never delayed, it was always slated as an 08 model.

Oh and I've never had any major issues with my neon, also most people I know with the cars don't have issues and the same goes for cobalt ss owners. Most of the problems people do have are things they either screwed with/or beat the **** out of.

Caliber SRT-4...DOHC I-4....300hp at 6000..

Well considering it was suppose to be out for 07 since the dealership was trying to get me one then they moved it to a late 07 model then they moved it to 08....
