Well, I thought about it a bit more and realized that I would much rather put that 150$ into getting my exhaust done. I'm going to call the dealership tomorrow, and see if they can fix the shift knob, and my sunroof switch at the same time as they are doing the recall work on the 9th

I've heard somewhere on here that the shift knob is known to break, and when it does you have to replace the whole thing

Wouldn't a new short throw also come with new shifter bushings? I know the TWM for the 2.2/2.4L does... Mmmmmmm just imagine sharp, clean, precise shifting... DO IT... lol.

That one pic is of the rad/aftercooler, or whatever the **** is there, it shows how bent it got just from hitting the water I guess.

Front Bumper is kinda messed up.. Not too bad though, it is just missing the bottom lip peice.

In the end, the g/f is OK, and that is all that matters.. The car can be fixed/replaced.

If you look at the seats, you can see the water line that I was talking about.
Man your GF can drive my car for a week. I could use a LSD upgrade. LOL. Just Joking. Glad she was alright as well.

As for shifter problems some of you may recall my shifter coming totally apart at Gimili. THis included the little shift pattern top. GM has a TSB on it. fixed under warranty. As for a shifter I would go with the one that gives a shorter shift.

Lol cool. I'm kind of neutral on it.

The lobster rules though, what did you have?

Well, I'll see what they say tomorrow after I give them a call.
Perhaps I will add a new shifter to my list of upcoming mods.

kinda off topic but oh well this is for all you crazy drivers in the peg
For what it's worth, this is interesting. Do all Canadians know
this?
WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET A TRAFFIC TICKET
This system has been tried and it works in every province. If
you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light or whatever
the case may be, you are going to get points on your license. This
is a method to ensure that you DO NOT get the points.

When you get your fine, send in a check to pay for it.
If the fine is $79.00 make the check out for $82.00 or some
small amount over the fine. The system will then have to send you back
a check for the difference, however here is the trick.
DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHECK! Throw it away!
Points are not assessed to your license until all financial
transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then
the transaction is NOT complete.
The system has received its money and is satisfied and will no longer bother you.
This information comes from an unmentioned computer company that
sets up the standard databases used by every province.

They've fixed the loophole.. The only thing that will happen, is if after (I believe) 6 months they will cancel the refund.

OK, so I have a stone chip. What do I do? I don't want some crappy touchup paint - do they have to redo the whole panel? It's a small one, but right down to the metal.
