LOL, Courntey, you are a celebrity over on heights. In courtney's defence, I dont think he understood what the plate really means.
"some noob at work, sorry if this belongs to you but just because its a GM doesn't make it a corvette"

Im pretty sure courntey knows that its not a vet, lol.. But to him, it might as well be a vet.
Its just his version of a vet, for what he could afford. Thats how I always take those kind of plates.
Like the neon driving around with the plate MYVIPR or whatever.

I wouldnt take it anywhere else to be honest. He is REALLY good at what he does. He is a body man and painter by trade, works out of his garage, which also has a downdraft booth in it. I looked around, some shops wouldnt touch it, some shops wanted 5-6 grand just for bodywork, etc.
You can still guage what they did on my truck to a car.. Bodywork is bodywork, it is mostly labor so i feel it is a completely fair comparison.
I asked him to take the wing off the car, but he kinda laughed, and that was the last I ever mentioned it to him, so I dont know what he would have charged to get it done. I would guess in the 2-300 range max.
MAJ, thats because 700 really is insane.
Ssnipes dont take any of this the wrong way, I mean, your cars done, u paid for it, and your happy (and it looks bad ass i might add). Thats all that matters.
But i have to ask, did he atleast supply lube? lol

EDIT - SO I pulled my bill. It was $825 but that was painting the complete rear bumper the trunk and right upper fender that is a third of the car. that meant removing the bumper to paint plus filling the holes etc. it is not easy and is work. buy the way I paid full price retail for a job, but I wanted it done right. could have reduced it if you leave the bumper on the car but that would have not been the right way to do it.
EuteR, it seems you did not pay full price for a job. makes me wonder about quality of your job, and when I say job I dont mean the truck...LOL I think for the price you paid you supplied the lube!
So what ever. it does not matter what I do, you seem to want to get your digs in and you also seem to enjoy doing it. I really dont give a **** though and that is the funny part for me.... I am not at war with anyone including you....
Obviously if someone talks to you like a complete ass (I not saying that your are) then you would have a issue or slight about it. I on the other hand let it slide. My comment about how you were to him on the phone etc. was a complete joke and would like it that you take it that way and any other joke I make. like the one above or below. hopefully you read this complete post.
So.. I started doing a bit more planning on what I'm going to do to with the grill... I'm going to be making one without removing the center bar. Probably this week. It involves completely defacing the factory grille though! lol. Anyway, here is what I've mapped out.
Should be very easy to complete as well. Gotta dust off the ol' dremel!

anybody who tries to make a truck into a car is a ricer in my books!!..... (I am really kidding relax...LOL )

I think it has about 5 members, and they all keep registering new accounts every day just so that they can "secretly" flame eachother.
I stopped browsing that board 3 years ago because it's so ******* stupid and childish.
Ask Euter, I'm sure he can attest to it's constant stupidity, he's one of the very few people who actually posts under his real forum account

My j-body ecotec fuel injector harness just arrived this morning from Puritan Pontiac - Newgmparts.com
They just shipped it out late last week, and it arrived this morning via FedEx. No GST or brokerage or anything due on it either, so I'm not sure if they paid all that or what.
Murray wanted $160 + tax for the harness, and this came out to about $100us after shipping.
Very happy with these guys and I would totally recommend them.

In any case. Made progress on the grill today. Finally got off my lazy ass. Although, I may have run into a bit of a road block, until I can get my grubby hands on a more suiting set of tools.
Here she is all hacked up and ugly!
Slapped together a test fit after cutting the basic shape of the mesh out (looks way to big now, but I have to shape it properly, as the inside isn't a straight cut, it's actually curved.)
And.... here in lies the probrlem! I can't get my dremel in close enough to cut away the remaining plastic. And, once I've gotten rid of those edges, I'll need something to grind/sand them down smooth... lots of work ahead!

Be warned, this was via FedEx. They will pay your brokerage/fees for you, and send you an owing letter in the mail in a few months. They tried pulling that **** with me, but I got out of it. They never told me about it at all. I just received a letter from them about 4 months later saying "Oh by the way, you owe us 100 bucks!" in brokerage and late fees. <-- **** that!
Edit - NVM, figured it out. FedEx will likely bill Puritan, and they will bill me. It's right in their shipping terms that I am responsible for any brokerage fees or tariffs, yadda yadda. This was purchased on my VISA so they will just bill me for that stuff. Oh well, part of the cost of ordering from the states. I am still quite happy and that was a very fast turnaround time!
