Still on steelies here too. Will probably put my rims back on when I go to my parents to install my mounts this week or weekend. Don't want to shred the winter tires

Just had a nice run in with a red SRT-4. We sure looked sweet riding next to each other.

I dunno about that, I might run slicks this spring and try get in the low 12's. As far as 11's go I think I would need to trap a few MPH higher, I know it took 120+ for Rob to get in the 11.8-11.9 range in the charger, and that was with low 1.80 60ft's

What I do see is you getting in the 12's this year though

Went and checked out the work order from MPI for the car.. The sheet says 2100 damage. All they want to do is clean out the car.. Shampoo the carpets, etc. Nothing about replacing anything.. Just "cleaning" it.

He said they are going to push for the car to be written off by telling MPI they obviously cant guarentee the work they are doing because of the water. So we will see what happens. (Orion). They still cant get it started either.

He asked if it was OK if they wrote it off, and I said sure, I dont want problems down the road on a new car obviously.

I just wish they would hurry the **** up and make up their minds... The rental is costing me 25 bucks a day. lol

So if they write it off, does anyone know how much 18" winter tires are, since I will still have the other set of summer rims/tires, as the winter tires were on the car.

WOW - they cant even start it up and MPI wants it taken to the car wash. Man, it was 900 bucks to have a scratch on my bumper repaired - and your front valence is sitting at the bottom of a creek, if memory serves - that is whack. Crazies.

As far as I know, 18's are crazy expensive for winter (or summer lol). You can prolly get some 16" rims from an HHR or Malibu for cheap and use 16" cheap tires - what I have on now. My 2 cents.

Lol. Nice to see you are practicing your g g g gansta talk.

But I figure, not having to buy the steel rims again, will make up for the price of the rubber?

****, ill stop being lazy right now and take a look. lol

Ok, checked.. About 225 a tire, give or take.. Could be worse.. Its pretty much the same price as buying new summer tires. That is probably what I will do if it comes down to it.

I inquired at the dealership I work at just before winter, and they said the only 18" winter tires they could get were the pirelli's, and my cost was about $1300 (cant remember if that was before or after tax though)

Had the car at the cabin this weekend, got my summer tires to bring back here and installed the AEM airbox mod. All in all, fun weekend:

And Juan and I got some vids of the nice whine from our AEM powerhouses, lol.

I was quoted $350.00 each for 18" winter tires, installed and balanced

That is expected if you are looking locally.

Online they are about 225 a tire canadian. With no duty and only 1 tax because they come from B.C.

and installation should be next to nothing. balance could be as bad a $48.00 but if you know someone then its free.

ya, my old boss FINALLY got a tire machine to do tires over 16". lol

He charges me 5 bucks a tire to mount and balance them.

When I got my 20's mounted it was 25 a tire at Supershop.

I think 20's on the balt would defeat the purpose of the balt. IMO the 18's are a perfect fit.

I think 20s are overkill. But I love the look of 19s on it. /drool

For looks 18's and 19's are excellent. I have not seen 20's yet that look good.

for performance I think a 17X9 wrapped wrapped in 245/45R17 rubber would be just killer.

what is the first one 19?

I dont like the second one..The rim looks small for some reason.. I have never been the hugest fan of black rims though.

The first is 19. I remember that car cause I wished the SS/SC was available in white. that is a great looking car.

I too have not been a fan of black!
