ok got bad news....my front rotor's are apparently warped and my driver break is slim...so the dealership quoted me on these prices....there are 2 different sets of ac delco rotors, 1 is $118/each and the other is $157/each...with their brakes thats $199 w/ installation included in the 199 price, it comes to 515 + tax they said for everything....for the gm rotors its $286 each...god damn car..slowing my mods down now...does anyone know a place to get good but not expensive rotors and brake pads?? i just wasted $18 for them to tell me that...fucken gay dealership and they aint helping me out with my rattling door handle either, prolly b/c the warranty is only 9500 kms's away from being gone and only power train would be left...i'm pissed off @ the dealership now...

can they not just machine the rotors? I had the rotors machined twice I belive because of a shaking steering wheel, but nobody ever mentioned new rotors. The machining was also done under warrenty.
Try calling part source or something and get some prices.. Because doing the breaks on these cars is easy. I changed both front pads in my buddies garage in literally 20 minutes. Rotors would take a little longer, but its still very much do able.

the tech guy apparently said "no i dont wana do it, get new rotors" so im thinkin they dont wana do **** to my car since the full warranty is almost gone...so im thinkin of taking it to orion or sumthin to see what they say...but dunno...

Yeah Hispano, the rotors shouldn't be your responsibility, just pads IMO.
I heard that rotors on these cars are a huge concern. I'd get the GMPP ones if I were changing. Apparently they stop any squeeking/warping.
I read somewhere on here that some ppl have had the rotors machined under warranty multiple times - some even replaced - under warranty.
Txt me if you wanna cruise later ;-)

gay.. you STILL have warrenty. 10 000K is still a decent amount of km's. Lots of stuff can go wrong in that time.
I would defintally go somewhere else and save yourself that 500 bucks.
You shouldnt have even had to pay that 20 bucks IMO.

im going to go to orion on tuesday after work and see what they can do...."the rotor's can't be covered under warranty" from what the guy assigned to me said...and im pissed about that b/c thats bs...i should only be looking for pads like courtney said and not both...and they wouldnt machine b/c "it wouldnt be at par to safety"...im off to the dealership to bitch...

ya, even with other new cars they always machined the rotors. I dont know why they are doing this to u.
Pads are definitally your responsibility, but rotors, from my experiences, not so much.

If you can't get warranty help from Orion, I would just buy new rotors and pads from this guy:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/deleted-threads-89/oem-size-performance-cross-drilled-slotted-rotors-17882/
EDIT - Or, maybe talk to someone who works at a dealership and see what kind of price you can get on GMPP rotors and new pads and do the work yourself or with some friends.

Pontiac - that's why I won't go. Not that I COULDN'T, but I will go to a Chevy Dealer for my Chevy. And as far Chevy dealers go, Orion is my fav. I know that the cars are the same, but hey, I live near Orion and I like being picky when it comes to my ride. And I bought mine at Orion, so there is some added clout I have ;-)

Its not that I live and breathe Orion. Its just that they have been great to me over the years, so a person would tend to go back and refer friends to that place.
Plus Orion is literally 2 minutes away, so its a convenience thing as well
