EuTeR sighting yesterday at lunchtime on Wellington.

Trunk is on and fits like ass.

Going to datalog my IDC's tonight or tomorrow night when I have some time to make a 1-3rd rip on the perimeter.

That's all I got.

Just a question, might not be the right section but I'm from Winnipeg so I though I would give it a shot. Those of you who have a ss/sc cobalt and replaced the stock filter with a cone filter (not a cold air intake,) where did you guys buy the filter from and what brand?

K&N for myself and Maj. He bought them though so I don't know. Lots of people say the K&N gets oil on the sensor but neither of us have had a single problem yet and it works great. Best $60?? ever.

Welcome to the boards and what model/colour cobalt do you have?

most people tend to go with the AEM dryflow (part# 21-2110DK)

You can try ebay, AEM's website, and im pretty sure summit racing has them as well. If you dont want to order it off the net, call extreme preformance (or almost any 'shop') and he/they can order it for you. Im pretty sure extreme will charge around 60 for it.

I have both the cone filter and the K&N drop in. They both work great, but the cone filter is defiantly louder!

Well, I'm sure he would have got that if the track wasn't a big pile of water and oil. Everyone there was about 1 to 2 seconds slower than usual.

He did consistently smoke an RX8 and even a 90s Camaro that couldn't get traction for nothin.

I was only kidding, because after the video I saw of him driving I though "man if he drives liek this at the track he'll be stuck in the 14's.

Not sure what he ran, but a buddy of mine ran the same time he ran 2 weekends ago, he was cutting 1.72 60ft's in a FWD all day today.

If he ran stock then I would expect him to pull a mid 14, but from reading his kills, his car sounds way faster than that. You're sneaky, so how much faster did he go? Is he the fastest official cobalt now?

In manitoba that is? Come on the suspense is killing me

Nah, he had a shitty day. Watching him run, all I could see was wheel spin like crazy. No noise, just spinning. Maybe FWD shouldn't do burnouts first with street tires on? I dunno....
He ran anywhere from 15.1 to 16.2 depending on his wheel spin today. Best times seemed to come when he didn't launch hard and didn't spin out. We were trying to figure out why his times were so different and far off from last year. We thought it had something to do with the cold/damp conditions. It was quite cold there and had rained too. I know cold helps boost, but I don't think that helped him grab the track. Anyway, I'm glad I just watched cause if I ran, I'd have been in the 17s for sure lol.... As soon as Juan gives the OK, I'll post the vids.

PS: I watched my vids again and some guys do manage some good 60' times; with alot of work it looks like.

Damn, I thought you were kidding. I had talked to some honda guys a few hours ago and they said the track was great, one ran a 12.9 and the other was low 13's on street tires all day long with 2.1 60ft's.

Poor Hispano ended up launching like that video in the winter, the key is to take it easy out of the hole, Dayn and the other guys that saw me run can vouch for this.

They came up to me at the track last year and said "if you launched a little harder you should get better 60 ft's, you look slow off the line" I proceeded to pull out my timeslip and show them the 2.20 I had just pulled and they were shocked....or so I thought.

i guess SSnipes is the man still
