He ran anywhere from 15.1 to 16.2 depending on his wheel spin today. Best times seemed to come when he didn't launch hard and didn't spin out. We were trying to figure out why his times were so different and far off from last year. We thought it had something to do with the cold/damp conditions.

PS: I watched my vids again and some guys do manage some good 60' times; with alot of work it looks likeIt was quite cold there and had rained too. I know cold helps boost, but I don't think that helped him grab the track. Anyway, I'm glad I just watched cause if I ran, I'd have been in the 17s for sure lol.... As soon as Juan gives the OK, I'll post the vids..
I did 13.9 in late september. Driver mod maybe the problem here or the car is screwed. but maybe oneday that can be figured out which is which. I have posted more than once on here as to how to drive the car to 13.9 but you guys are not reading that info I guess. WHen I got my best 60 of 2.18 I started out like I was driving from a green light in the city with a cop sitting right beside me just waiting to pull me over for chipping my tires. I had no slip but all clean acceleration. I looked and felt slow but it was the best time I had to date. 13.9 was done with a 2.25 60' I believe.

All I can say is Pablo knows what he is doing and helped me progress in my starts. I would take his advice. it works

Settle down ....LOL his comment is regards to "STOCK SRT-4 with mods". also the srt-4 is apparently easier to go fast cause he is doing 12's and were not. face it guys an SRT-4 is showing up to be a better platform and that is due to the large heat pump we have strapped to our motors. you want to go fast? get ready to put in stronger pistons, head and cams cause it is not all about boost and then turbo it. Kennyspec will likely show us the way and take the title of fasted cobalt in manitoba. I think I will still be the fastest cobalt with SC'er but I will be lucky to see 12's with that setup at the rate I am going. I will have missed 2 T&T's cause I am so busy. I have my car tuned for drivability to get by but still slower than a stock cobalt I would think. anyway maybe for mid august or september. I will see if I can beat my current record.

Man I'm not talking crap, you're obviously taking things the wrong way, fact being a stock SRT should go low 14's with a decent driver, a highly modded should be a full second faster, and that's picking up a full second after the 330ft mark which is 3rd and 4th gear, because of top end.

The blue SRT you saw happened to run a 15.6 last year, lets face it poor guy can't drive at all kinda like a blue SS owner that's in the 15's as well (I can be an ass if I want to be)

SSnipes, I know what you mean about being to busy to even make it to the track, we had a guy quit at work, and now I'm stuck filling in saturday shifts until we hire someone. Getting Sunday's and monday's off is just not what I'm looking for. Hopefully you can get your car worked out, at least there's a whole month now before the next T&T.

well i aint taking it the wrong way, im just saying a stock srt 4 was just as fast as a modified srt 4 yesturday...but that guy in the blue was doing some decent times, almost a whole second faster...either way it was fun yesturday....next time i go i'm going to figure out how to launch this car propperly over there...on another note, when are people actually going?? so i can book it off...

If that was me, I'd suspect the guy I bought it from.

Well it's official... after a few hours behind the wheel with a full LNF Ecotec and drivetrain (from the Solstice) swapped out... the Cobalt just doesn't seem fit for a RWD setup. No weight on the back, the tires cut loose with WOT in 4th gear.... quite sad really.

In any case.. I dropped the ol LSJ back in and now I'm pushing around 490hp. After several runs I've averaged out my 0-100mph time to be just over 8.2 seconds.

I guess turbo really isn't the way to go

Well, it was short and sweet for me. Stayed just long enough to **** off the folks at A&W by ordering food at 11:45. On another note, looks like there is alot of interest to find another time we can all go to Gimli together. So, let me find the test and tune dates.........
Here they are:

(SAT)June 16
(SAT)July 14
(SAT)August 4
(SAT)September 1
(SAT)September 15
(SAT)September 29
And if the DRAM calendar is correct, add:
(SAT)June 30
(FRI)July 13
(SAT)August 18

I think the easy way to go would be to put your name next to the dates you can commit to going, then we can just keep copying the previous list and add to it. Here is mine:

(SAT)June 16: thought
(SAT)July 14: thought
(SAT)August 4
(SAT)September 1
(SAT)September 15
(SAT)September 29
And if the DRAM calendar is correct, add:
(SAT)June 30: thought
(FRI)July 13: thought
(SAT)August 18

I'd like to see at least 5 Cobalts go and make a day of it. On another note, seems recently there is some friction in the ranks? I dunno if it's the stress of trying to make our balts fast and furious or what. I think we need to meet up for just for ***** and giggles and help each other out more than compete with each other. How about an afternoon at the go kart track just West of the city here? That way I can finally kick Juan's ass lol. Anyway.....

Juan I found a possible solution to your limp mode.

Limp Mode Fix

Seems we lost spirit once I stopped with the horrible jokes. May be time to start again...
