to bad your the wrong colour. I would swap right now. Dayn and Maj say keep the wingless look but I kinda miss a spoiler of some kind.

how about my 3" exhaust. that go well manifold back $400.

yah i'm still throwing around wingless in my mind, i want to get lowered first so it looks smooth and flowing if that makes sense. but i don't know if winnipeg streets + lowered + stock struts is a good thing.. ( somebody told me there aren't aftermarket struts for our cars? )

but do you think it would look good even on a non-lowered car?

yah but i need struts then, sooner rather than later. apparently koni's can be used with modification but i'm no suspension expert so I can't go that road lol

OR.. bigger 19" wheels to fill the gap

no, the wheels will hinder ur performance, ride and handeling...and cost a ass **** load of money..

you have to options..

buy eibachs, if ur stuts fail, take eibachs off and put stockers back on and send it in for warranty..no one is wiser..

option 2...

buy coilovers for around 1000

now if the cobalts have macpherson suspention i dont think coilovers will solve your problem..but if its conventinal then ur fine..im pretty sure cobalts have macpherson suspention tho..so you might have to upgrade the struts

yah thats true.. i just wish there was a medium option between the pro kit which only lowers the rear around .5 and the sportlines which are like 1.8" drop.. Something like a 1" drop would be nice

K we need to have a visit you and I. I will show you and you can ride in it to find out whether you like it or not.

Honestly (of course) Dayn was just in my car. HIS words were "I love the wingless look, dont change it" but it is my car. I think I want a wing back. second he said "it rides like stock, better for corners, I think if you were to trim your front bump stops it would ride like Maj's" see I never trimmed my stops. bottomed easilly. trimmed the back as that is easy and it is alot better. I dont hate it any more. I have toyed with the idea of doing the fronts but have not done yet. Juan's rides superior to mine, difference, his bumps stops were all cut. he loves it.

PM me if you got questions. see you sunday.

Sport lines are 1" in the front and 1.8" in the rear. so if you dont want drop in the front and just 0.8 in the rear. you could spend money at Nuels spring works and get then to get the rear to drop a bit more. My guess is a 200 charge or you just get to know the EIbach's and swap with me. I likely will go to nuel's right after to do just that....LOL.

anyway it wont matter either way. If it were just me I would keep the springs. but I am trying to make the car more streetable cause we want to do more family trips in it to the US and stuff so the most comfy ride is now priority. I am even looking at recaro seats believe it or not. factory non recaro's are like boards.

I was in Wes's Cobalt in october and I must say it did ride very nice considering it was on oem struts. I've been in Juan's like half a dozen times, he's got the same springs, again no complaints.

I love the wingless look on these cars, Wes's Cobalt is pure sex imo. Lowered, tinted, shaved, wingless ftw.

btw. Saw a blue ss/sc at shoppers today at uni city, had a big DC sticker on the back window, anyones car?

Thanks pillar!!

As far as ride I do love it. just not when it bottoms, like I said before juans doesnt do that. I should just cut the front bumpstops and buy a wing I guess if I want it.

any comments on this?!
