personally it is easier than taking the exhaust header on and off..LOL that is actually true.

Definitely recommended.

hardest part? finding and aluminum 1/2" 90 degree elbow. I thought I had some and it turned out to be white metal. So a friend did me a favor and fabbed and elbow from aluminum pipe. then it was welded in. have not looked back.

Cruise was hilarious. I'll let Neutrino give the juicy details though. We did come across one of these:

It's called a Spyder, made by Bombardier aka: Can-Am Here is its online home:
http://spyder.brp.com/

Also met a guy I worked with at Shaw, driving his new R32!!!! SA-WEEEET car!!!
These aren't on the Canadian site, so I wanna find out how he got a hold of one!
http://www.vw.com/R32/en/us/
Engine
Type 6-cylinder, gasoline
Bore 3.31 in (84.0 mm)
Stroke 3.78 in (95.9 mm)
Displacement 194.6 in3 (3,189 cm3)
Compression ratio 10.85:1
Horsepower 250 @ 6,300 (184 kW @ 6,300)
Maximum torque 236 @ 2,500-3,000 (320 Nm @ 2,500-3,000)
Fuel requirement Premium unleaded recommended for maximum performance
Firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4

Great match for a GMS2 :-)

LOL best cruise night so far...

We kept trying to get away from this riced out cobalt ls and sunfire that drew and I both killed. The sunfire switched from a girl to a guy driver on the side of the road but it didnt help lol. They were determined to try and beat every cobalt no matter what. But that cobalt would not leave us alone, he followed us everywhere. And he though he was the ****. I missed a shift and still pulled away like nothing. I beat that r32 too. Good guy and fast car but i still pulled away without the spray so i was happy..

That spyder looked like a sled and bike mixed into one.

I have never raced so much on a cruise night. BTW nice dancing courtney to "elevator" lol.

Maybe it was just a GTI, cause his wheels looked like a GTIs wheels and not an R32s.......I'm confuzzzzed!

I guess it said GTI and not R32 on the back, thanks Andrew! lol...........Definitely turbo though!

OK, found this:

It also says GTIs are AWD. So Rich, you must have raced a 242hp/268lb-ft AWD GTI.....maybe? Assuming he has a similar setup......Hmmmmm......

OK enough confusion - going to bed now lol.

Ok to clear up some of the confusion, R32's are pigs at 3600lbs, they run 14.5's@96 stock. The car you most likely raced was a GTI which is a high 14sec car. Oh and for the record there were no turbo R32's

Just like that

Thinking about it, it was probably a diesel Golf, seeing how the cobalts can't beat any real cars.

lets clear this up

volks makes 2 similiar cars...the GTI and the R32, the GTI is a 2.0L Turbocharged FWD Car, it makes around 210 stock horsepower and does high 14's low 15's stock.

the R32 is a six cylinder that makes 240-260 (dont remember) horsepower and is ALL-WHEEL-DRIVER like pablo said it does mid 14's, once boosted however these cars become MONSTERS!

Exactly, there's GTI and R32. I like the way both look.

There was what I thought was a GTI VR6 at gimili on track day (circuit). I didnt know what it was until after. thing was fast. it had oversized brakes with red porsche 6 piston calipers. at least it said porsche on them. and the rotors were dark in color (carbon fibre floating disk brakes). I found out after it was also AWD. I kept up to him on the trap lap after lap. didnt really have an advantage anywhere on me except exiting and I would catch him next corner. lose him again as I feather it through the corners. dont get it twisted though. I was amazed he didnt leave me faster exiting the corners.

was this an R32?

Hmmm.... I wonder what this could be used for. CHOP, CUT, REBUILD!
