Mathmatically using gear ratio and engine redline the car is good for 280 ish. 
I am in now way saying it can get there
I would love to find out what it really could do. I was looking into finding an oval in the USA that i could use to do it. didnt find one
EDIT: I went to HPTuners. Stock (not GMS2 but it is the same) It is set for cutoff at 158mph (254KMH) and resume at 155 (249KMH). that is factory. HPT can set it to 318mph (511.78)LOL.

My bad. I knew they arent governed at 235, thats just as fast as I could get the thing up to.

that sucks JP, sorry to hear that.
its happened to me about 4 times when I used to go to the bars... Last time it happened i traded in my car for the cobalt. (And stopped going to bars).
And JP.. If you had any credit card receipts in the car or stuff like that you should cancel them. I know most places **** out most of the numbers but some older places still show your entire credit card number and expiry date... (since you said in the other post your receipts were messed up)

I park in my parenst garage year round. 1 night they blocked me in the driveway so i moved their NEW truck to the street and got my car out, went to the video store, came back within 10mins and their truck was broken into durring that time period. $0.50 was stolen from the console and costed me $200
