yah not sure, I have Kenny's 13.88 video, if he doesn't mind I can put it on youtube.

And it was great fun I'm not happy with my times, but it was my first time at the track so it's all good. And its addicitive so I'll definitely go again for the next test n tune.

well my best (and i use the term lightly) was 14.4 @ 102.. with .... drum roll.... a 2.6 60 foot. i can only imagine what i could've run if i launched better.

in other words.. traction bent me over, had his way with me and he's not going to call me in the morning either.

oh and the other lane ran 13.4 with a 2.1 60 foot and trapped 100.. so at least i trapped faster than him

and yes, i know a 2.6 is horrible, definitely driver mod needed.

well it rained hard after our first run so we were waiting for them to prep the track again for about 45 minutes... i got in 4 runs.. and I think ryan & jp got in 5 or 6.. and it was fairly busy i would say..

and my best run was my 1st run.. all the other runs after the rain were crappier for me. and one thing that made me feel good was seeing a nissan 350z run 15s consistently

here is a run of mine, not my best run though, the video on that one is not too good.. shaky camera woman and wind.

Yeah, your time is a good one, make no mistake. Don't go by people's best times lol. You beat my fastest time! Basically, traction does own us, and when they make you start out of the grooves and don't race prep the track, it's a wonder we can cut the 60s we do on street tires! So good for you!

JP yah we have at least 2 videos of all the cobalts runs. I just didn't post any of other peoples cars in case they didn't want them online for some reason. But just say the word and I can upload yours to you-tube. (Or put burn them to a cd if u want a quality copy)

Like I said yesterday, with a 2.2 60ft you would gain.6-.7 in the 1/4mile, I could see a 13.7 in your car as it sits right now. Thinking about it I honestly think the stock tires on the cobalts must be crap, becasue all you guys are making decent MPH but the times just arent there, I doubt all the mid 14sec runs are all due to driver error.

I talked to the guy from steinbach in the silver srt, his best 60ft was a 2.11 and his worst was a 2.23 all day long, he's running the Falken Azenis RT615 tires, which happen to be the same tires I ran 12's on two years ago. I think the best mod for the cobalts is a tire upgrade.

That's a great trap man, with tires I'm sure that would be a low 13, your car is damn quick and a sleeper.

Well, I had a hell of a lot of fun out there, that's for sure. But those that were out at the track know how disapointed I am with my day. I can't wait for the 31st to be able to try to improve.

I'm not quite sure what it was, perhaps I forgot how to drive over the winter?.. Either way, my best run for the day was a 14.6 @ 102 with a 2.37 60ft. Not happy with that at all...
Got some maintenance to do over the next 2 weeks... clean my filter... buy knew tires? lol. Nah, that won't happen just yet. I want to hit 13s without tires.. but somehow I think that's becoming less likely.

Also, go ahead and post any videos you have of me.

Did you guys play around with rire pressure at all yesterday? are you guys spinning in just first or secong gear aswell? When I ran street tires they would run me out of the groove, so I would take off in first but I would ever so gently ease my way back into the groove while spinning like a mad man. Every time I did this I would gain .3 or .4 tenths just from being on the sticky surface.

you read my mind.. i was thinking about that this morning, after launching just move over a bit into the groove ... I was running 25 psi.

After the rain my tires were spinning in 1st and 2nd.. i ran a 15.5 my 2nd run.. i had to totally let off in 2nd and ease it back on.

Pablo, do you know a good place to get those falkens for a decent price?

oh and coming up.. video of Ryan beating that same Subarue Legacy Spec B? I told you guys about a few weeks back. And then I'll get a video of JP up.

Best price I've found in canada is 1010 tire, best thing to do is to order them from discount tire direct in the states have the mshipped to menkes parcel and pick up yourself, all you pay is taxes and the gas to get there, shipping is free within the us. I might be doing this in the next couple weeks as my tires are getting worn.

Yup, sounds like traction pwned us again. Not really shocked - happened to us all last year too, and I remember some really pissed-off people running 15s. I'm stupid and spent my money on a power upgrade instead of traction lolz......at least it finally came!

On the ride home yesterday I'm pretty sure I figured out what I was doing wrong. Shifting 1-2 was poor. Slow, wrong RPM. I'm pretty sure I've got in down now. Not sure how this will work on the track with different traction then the street, but with the way I figured it out from driving around the city last night I can really feel the car pull away hard as soon as I shift into second.

Hopefully on the 31st I'll have a camera person to tag along. I'm bringin my camera again, but this time I'm also bringing a tripod!! No more shaky cam for us! Thanks for the videos though
