you summed it up pretty good... we can go from normal conversation about car mods to talking about JP taking turns giving reach arounds in less than 3 posts...

btw guys the rain has been moved to saturday... might not be a good track day.

Oh and Orion Chev has a yellow SRT-4 for sale.......somebody buy it and give it to me please.

And finally... Crate Engine Depot has a massive sale going on.. Stage 2 = $520... GMPP Manifold = $234 etc.. I'd still check with Pablo though, might/probably still be cheaper through him when you factor in shipping/customs.

WOW did I tell you or did I tell you...When everyone was talking about getting a turbo balt I said no. First year models of every car is trouble. Espically when there aspirated. The Neon SRT4 had huge problems. I heard the Caliber now is too. The Cobalt SS SC had problems and now the TC.

And everyone said I was crazy. Well **** you. lol

LOL gotta wait till it gets nicer out. SUCH a nice car. I have found a new love. I never really liked them but I was wrong, they are pretty nice. And soooooo ******* fast.

I hate hardcore GM drivers who constantly think that there cars are better quality than imports. I think GM cars are nicer in most senses but really the imports are much better built cars. I have a love-hate relationship with my car, but its really been pissing me off lately.

-radio, broken
-cd player, broken
-ignition, broken sometimes
-power windows, broken

AND THE BEST PART OF ALL...it says im driving 9.0L/100kms...and at empty I fill it 15 dollars and it takes me 35 kms...woot...

Im seriously considering putting it up on the market in the next couple weeks and finding something else. Might wait for the new camaros to come out though

I don't remember the first year srt 4's having any major problems, same goes for the first year SS/SC's? I think you're on something.

bahaha that's exactly what I was thinking earlier but i didn't post.

Hell, '03 SRT's were the same as the following years with different injectors and no LSD.

I had no problems with my SS/SC other than the odd limp mode. which went away with GMS2.

Maybe not huge problems but it had problems...SRT-4s was the TPS wire....it was located too close to the manifold so it would get hot and cold, shrink and expand, and eventually break. Lots of small kinks that was changed I believe in both cars.

So i've pretty well confirmed my worries about a boost leak test. Ran into a red kitted srt-4, i've seen and talked to him a bunch of times in st james. Anyway, he did a 14.x? at Gimli in the opening weekend, we went 2nd-3rd and i had him by a car, pretty weak.

What time and where for breakfest? i'm not sure if i'm going to go and watch or race and get a 14 second slip ahaha.

Every year srt4 has that problem, there were no small kinks changed I don't know what you're talking about, care to share?

Not sure if that's right though, the previous owner usually trapped in the 104-105MPH range, so if this red one with the body kit is in the low 100's a car or two sounds about right. I honestly think you should run it down the track and see how it does, then we can check the boost leaks and you can try again next time, remember practice makes perfect.

Luckily i haven't had that issue yet. I've heard some horror stories on srtforums.

I guess you may be right, do you recall what scott ran on street tires, i think it was 13.4? so if i pull off anything under a 13.9 i think it's safe to say i have no boost leak and i just need to learn how to drive

I just figured since he hung in there with me somethings up, he's all stock but exhaust.

I just remember my car feeling ALOT quicker back when i bought it compared to now, perhaps i'm just use to it.

His best on street tires was a 13.39@105, and that was with a lot of runs, his first few times out he was only running 13.6-13.8, then he dropped it down into the 13.4 range.
