racing in 5th is ******* insane. lucky your car didnt fall apart doing 230ish km/h.

 

Raced my buddies AWD Twin Turbo 3000gt tonight....he took me from a dig by about 4 cars before I got out of 1st then I caught up to him but he still took me by a couple. From a 40 roll, top 1st...we were even till about 4th then I pulled a couple on him.

Then I took on my buddies RHD red roadster that was at dubs...hes got over 20 grand in the car with a greddy turbo. From a dig he took me by a couple since i had no traction then at about 120 I pulled from down 2 cars to up by 2 cars lol...no spray. From a 40 roll I pulled about 3 cars till 130 then shut down...


Overall...Im liking how this car is turning out. Hard work is finally paying off..Now time to take it to the track.

 

holy **** your nuts (bl1nd), and be careful doing back to back WOT runs, they don't call it the HEATON for nothing. your car must have been crying for mercy lol.

 

at those speeds you can draft pass no problem next time BLinD should tuck under bumper then sling shot around after shifting to 5th NASCAR style.

Hopefully at those speeds some family in a caravan full of kids doesnt pull out to make the race end with an abrupt stop. or you happen to get a deer through the windshield.

dont get me wrong I love racing but at those speeds you should consider Gimili on road course days. far more fun and you can get 15 to 20 laps in for 50bucks.

 

says the guy who went 245km/h around a corner racing a 1300cc crotch rocket with me in shotgun..... (to be fair it was a light corner.....)

I want to see a video of this. Can one of us film next time? Would be nice rep for us slowbalts that are falling apart all the time.

Well my memory is not the greatest either but this was my recollection of events. we slowed down for the corner, 245 was top speed if that was the speed we hit . Also we were not side by side, we were not racing, We did it once and not like 3 or 4 times, it was in daylight and not at night, oh and I did think that was dumb. I can't tell from the video exactly where they were racing either so maybe my location was better for doing that.

Head lights can only light so far and as you go faster there is little comfort in knowing what is coming up ahead.

bottom line if you didnt read all that. What I did was not bright, but I definitely think I was I did it under ideal conditions. and the corner being light was not 245.

Edit - you said you were shotgun? actually you were in the back seat. shotgun was your friend saying "wow, it didnt feel like we were going that fast" as she held the laptop in disbelief watching HPT's guages climbing fast. Wish we could have saved that run. I knew that it would likely never happen again. that was the fastest she had ever been.

well most things OK. LOL .... will let you here it from the horses mouth. I was curious too. He got pulled over for headlights. they are really cracking down on the colour of lights. STAY WHITE GUYS.

Oh and I saw alot of headlights last night. I really did not see all of them up close but I have to give reps+++ to SSRY headlamps and the CAPTAIN for his tails. good to meet the CAPTAIN!!

I'm giving you a hard time. relax. It wasn't around a corner, the bike was ahead of us, it was night time and it was empty highway as far as we could see (aside from bike).

Yeah... got pulled over on my way home. Stupid ass cops, I knew they were waiting for me. I see them about 5-6 blocks ahead doing what looked to be 15-20km/h. I hit a red light, and they pull over and wait. Finally I roll pass them and they flip on the lights.

Cop1 gets out...
Cop1 says: "So, the reason we pulled you over tonight was because of your blue lights, ok?"
Me: "Blue lights? They're suposed to be a bright white, and they look white to me (points foward)"
Cop1: "Yeah, they do look white right now..."
Cop1 walks infront of the car to examin them closer, then returns.
Cop1: "Well, when I was looking through my rear view mirror they were blue."
Me: "Hmm, that's odd. They were advertised as hyper-white."
Cop1: "Did they come with the car, or did you get them aftermarket?"
Me: "Aftermarket."
Cop1: "Ok. "
Cop1 goes back to his car with my papers
Cop2 gets out...
Cop2 says: "Here is your ticket, for you clearly blue headlights."
Me: "They are suposed to be white and they look white to me, but you're a cop and I won't question you. It could be my eyes."
Cop2 puzzled "Oh.. Ok.. Well.. If you put the factory ones back in, and tell the magistrate that you've done so, they'll drop the charges."
Me: "Oh. Ok."
Cop2 walks away.
Me: "Have a good night officer."
Cop2 "Uh.. right. You too."

The first cop seemed a little uneasy after I called him out on the color of the headlights. He couldn't prove to me that they blue, and he openly admitted they looked white at that time. Pretty sure that's why the second cop was the one who gave me the ticket, and I think I cought him off guard with the fact that I told him I wasn't going to question him. LOL!

To late, I've already done that.

 

that sucks Ryan, man... it really pisses me off. they are dedicating so many resources to target people just having fun..

 

The best part is the ticket net me 100 bucks and two demerits. I'm having a hard time figuring out how the legal system allows them to dock points on my license for something that isn't a traffic infraction... it's not like a ran a stop sign or was speeding?....

 

Yah that doesn't seem fair.. But just take a picture of JP's car with your plate on the front and say look magistrate... All fixed

Edit- Actually that doesn't seem so smart but it'd be easier than putting your stockers back in.

Hey guys, it was a great time i had. Good to meet a all of you! Except the sport tint red, but i did see you after you revved at me!
I had a cop follow me (somewhat) when i was heading home (sunday night). I was first in line at the lights, and he was in the lane next to me and just stayed in (what he thought was my blind spot) waiting for me to do something stupid. Luckily i check my mirrors a lot, and seen him. No pullovers yet in the Cobalt!

I beat you with my 18.099! woot!

btw, did anybody get good pics from sunday? I took some while we were driving, and a couple of vids. Nothing special though. I can host up links if anybody wants.

 

What seats did ya get? I'm getting mine on the 15th!!

Wow... I came across a beautiful white AMG SL-55.. and i figured he would laugh me off as not much competition so i dropped in into 2nd and broke the tires loose beside him and gave him the s/c whine... and he took the bait... and proceeded to embarass my car from a 2nd gear roll... twice. he ended up about 4 cars ahead by the end of 2nd each time.

yep... thats officially my first actual loss...

and the award for nicest muffler.....
