Yah it's all good....
There are even SS/NA's that hold off SS/SC's until 3rd gear because they get good launches. And nothing hurts a ss/sc harder than getting beat by a ss/na .
JP you and I should race for fun, i bet you'd still take me off the line, you seem pretty good at launching. then we can post it up in the 2.4 section and get all those guys riled up lol.

with I/H/D/E/ stock ss/sc injectors and a good tune, you can get stock ss/sc times, not whp tho, where the 2.4 gets the advtange over the LSJ is in the traction, to my understanding, 17 inch rims benefit us alot more, also the fact that we dont create so much torque right off the go.
so horsepower is not everything, a 180-190WHP LE5 (2.4) can roll the same 1/4 mile times that a 210-220 WHP LSJ runs.

I will have to look at the 1/4 mile thread. do you have other info or threads? I think I should get one of the NA cars for $10g's and build a engine for turbo and cut 11's for $15g's total. possible?

17" FTW - you remember I wanted your rims pretty badly. 245/45R17. you should do that size and fill up your wheel well. Oh and 60 for stock SS/SC springs interested? I will deliver if you want.

the only downside to the LE5 is that its a high compression engine, making it risky with boost, but running 12 lbs on a turbo is about right, and gets you roughly around 260 WHP.

I dont think 260WHp will get you 12's , low 14's or high 13's is more likely. I know it is a high compression engine. the $5gs's would be spent on rods and low compression pistons about 8 to 8.5:1 and custom turbo. then go 22++ PSI. or and cams is a must for turbo.
what can a Getdrag handle. I thought it was 300 to 350 tq. I just cant remember

yeah that is right. I did that stock with GMS2 and an K&N filter. my 60 was not 2.1 but 2.25 or so. 13.9... so with a solid 2.1 you will be 13.9 to 13.7.
no chance. good driving and slicks with a TC/SS maybe good for 13.5?! that is pretty easy. just changing the HE on the soltice TC netted some serious HP. like 30 or 40. cant remember.

Yah exactly I wish they (GM) came out with a 4-banger motor/powertrain that could handle power the way the talon motors (4g63 i think) or the neon srt-4's can.. (i'm only calling it a neon to distinguish between the calibre).
